Thank you everyone for the good wishes! I did have a wonderful day--hubby spoiled me deliciously with breakfast in bed, and then a super dinner of bay shrimp fettuccine and strawberry cheesecake. So much for dieting today!

I tried reading "Twilight" and couldn't get into it, though the movie was OK. LOVE the True Blood series though, and have read all 10 books the show is based on and completely enjoyed them. Still think Frid did it best though-a compassionate vampire! You gotta love him!

One thing I've wondered about the "Old House"--in the early episodes they show the steps going up to the huge pillars. Yet later on, it looks like the front door of the OH is right at ground level. Trees are around it, and people-David, Julia-look in the front windows while standing on what looks to be ground. Are we supposed to pretend the steps are still there?

Clarice Blackburn is just amazing as Mrs. J. I think she was very underrated as an actress, at least in D.S. Does anyone know what happened to her? Has she ever been at any of the Fests? If she was only in her 30's at the time (again, amazing how well she portrayed an older woman!) then she might still be alive?

Guess I am in the minority here-I can't stand Fyfe as Willie. Maybe it's because Karlen's interpretation is so dear to me that I can't imagine anyone else doing it as well.
