Welcome back, Lindsey!  And wow, I admire your stamina and thank you for your support. :D

The next MPI chat will be sometime in August.  Don't know whom it'll be with, but I hope it's David Selby even though he doesn't appear in the next DVD being released.  Then again, I'd like it if every chat from now on would be with him. ;)

Current Talk '02 II / Re: Ange & Nick Today - 7/23

I did find Nicholas's appearance at Maggie's doorstep in the wee hours of the morning totally unbelievable today. I mean that literally. Bad writing in my opinion. After all, his cover is his gentlemanliness. It just didn't make any sense at all to me. I hope they have Maggie tell him off in the next episode. I know I am over-reacting but really! Anything would have been more believable, even a phone call. If this doesn't make Maggie suspicious of him I will sca-ream! [scrm]

I agree, Dom, and you've probably seen by now that she bought his explanation. ::)  Couldn't they have had Maggie wake up for some other reason, like the thunder, to find Joe gone instead of having Nick show up with his lame "I got a feeling you were in terrible danger" excuse?  Isn't that what phones are for?  If someone wants to make a good impression, I think the only thing worse than showing up early for a date is to show up unexpectedly... especially in the middle of the night, sheesh.  Unless, that is, a girl not only sleeps in full makeup like Maggie does but still has it looking perfect when she wakes up. ;)

And are we supposed to believe she passed the sofa on the way to answering the door but didn't notice it was empty?  Or that a knock can wake her up in another room entirely and then she can have a conversation in the same room as Joe, but none of this would wake him up?  It was all too pat.

And does anyone else think that Maggie was manipulated way too easily into considering that Joe's got somebody on the side?  Okay, obviously I hated everything about those scenes.

Navigating did slow to a crawl today for me starting this morning and lasting for a couple of hours, but I was able to receive and send IMs during that time (though waiting for the forums to finish sending them took an eternity).  But I didn't have any problems before that time-- including the past several days-- and I've always been able to access the boards and the webspace, and everything has been working fine for me since this morning's problem.  So whatever went wrong on my end, it only lasted about 2 hours.

Spoilage ahead!!!!

When did Sabrina die?  Not in RT, so must have been PT.

SPOILERS...

Yes, by John Yaeger in P.T. right before Hoffman's demise. All their deaths might even be on the same tape, or at least the same volume, but for me only Hoffman's is memorable.

I can't recall how, though.

Exactly! [lghy]

Guess I also fell asleeep when you consider Robin's description of Scott's acting ability ;)

LOL, VAM!

I modified the all caps, btw, but otherwise it's exactly the same.

Hey, tripwire, you seem to favor those falling-down-the-stairs-of-Collinwood scenes, hee hee!! ;)

more spoilage....

I remember him being such a cry baby and weenie when his wife (played by Marie Wallace, her character name escapes me at the moment) materialized in his jail cell as a vampire. Yeah, anyone would be scared in that regard, but he played [bawl]WIMP[bawl] to the hilt in that scene, imho ;)

PHILIP:  "I'm just plain scared."

My choices occur very close together in 1970 P.T.

Most memorable-- As Hoffman is about to do the unimaginable, Julia arrives to off her in the nick of time and save her man.  Years after seeing DS I still remembered Hoffman's failed attempt to stake Barnabas, but not the tiny detail that it wasn't Julia but her P.T. counterpart. ::)

Least memorable-- Sabrina's murder.  {yawn}

If you were Barnabas, wouldn't you be trembling in your shoes now? I mean, come on, the person he has closest to him, Julia, is turning into a bloodsucker. I'd wanna have some major distance between myself & that.

If I were he, I'd be trembling in my shoes cuz I know who sired Tom, but at this point Barn has no clue about what a marked man he is, ulp!

So the total is 2-Angie and Tommy

Of course J99 isn't referring to YOUR Tommy, Patti.  Hee hee!!

I missed some of these episodes last time around. I had thought Tom's coffin was in the basement in The House By The Sea.  ?!?

You remember that from a later point in the story, but presently (if you can call it that since this originally happened in 1968!) it's in an empty crypt.  Where the crypt is located will be explained in an upcoming ep.

Just a few quick comments-- nobody is forced to answer within any topic if they don't want to, and conversely, anybody that wants to add their opinion to a topic has always been welcome to do so regardless of their sex or sexual preference.  And please, let's not put labels on each other.
