You do realize that includes her...

Discounting the fact that she's already dead, Angelique did, after all, curse Barn with the words, "You will never be able to love anyone, for whoever loves you will die!" before becoming its 1st victim.  Silly witch!

Hee hee, leave it to a nurse to think of that!  I wonder if you and Carol are getting as much of a kick out of the plan to sleep upright in a chair as I am.  So what's unusual about that??!! ;)

Am I hallucinating or did the quote button disappear? [hdscrt]

In that case, we're getting the NY salute but in a new direction.

It certainly isn't the forefinger pointing at us ala Uncle Sam saying "We want you!".

Oh, it really is a forefinger.  It's not a "family board" and though I hadn't thought about it before I'm pretty sure I'd draw the line at an avatar (and smiley too-- yes, I know they're out there) that flips readers off.

MB's old avatar is the Avatar on Port Charles right now.

It was from Buffy, as are at least 3 other avatars in use right now.

Am I close or do I have to strain these eyes some more?

Raineypark's title is actually kinda prophetic. ;)

I've studied this and studied this, and I still don't know what it is.

I can attest that it's MB. :D

Hell - I never figured out what the previous avatar was.  Looked like a mushroom or something.

You might be thinking of Luciaphil's cloche, though mushroom wasn't my first thought when I saw it. ;)

They've been directed to try again later.

Hi Dawn! :D

Yes, this is the message they're receiving:

Sorry but registrations are closed for now! Please check back later!

Registrations were closed to new members a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to monitor both bandwidth and any possible actions of our server.  You might not be aware that a while back our server cut us off for a few hours, and we've been trying our best since then to prevent it from happening again-- first by stopping guest traffic and most recently by temporarily cutting off registrations, but despite doing these things the board is busier than ever, wow!  Anyway, we'd very much appreciate if you could let your friends know that this is definitely not a permanent thing, though right now I can't say when registrations will be reopened.  Thanks!

I thought John Karlen was very good in it. Below is a capture from it. I posted five more on the Members Archive. They can also be seen at http://www1.netzany.com/dscollins/ShazamKarlen/

VWR,

TVLand isn't available where I live so I'm very grateful you shared your captures with us!

( Sorry, I was unable to get the poll post to cooperate for this query)

No need to apologize, VAM.  Polling is a brand new feature that debuted with the features poll, but as MB explained then, it's not yet available for everyone to use but will be soon. :D

Thank you for the heads up, Bob!

It's a picture of me kissing David Selby.   :-*

Oh wow!  You weren't kidding about "quality time". :o

Thank you, Connie.  I didn't realize that what I was asking would be a hassle, and what you did is much appreciated.

Carol, I should've realized you were taping JK's various appearances.  Duh!  (Right about now I could use a smiley that slaps itself upside the head.)...

His Hill Street Blues episode aired yesterday, but it should again in the near future and with Kosmo's help I can let alert you to it a few days in advance.  Johnny is only in one scene but he's great, as always.

My absolute favorite Thayer David appearances are in The Wild Wild West series.  After one character was involved in the theft of a samurai sword, TD was brought back a year later to play a thief that preyed on Mexican villagers (in the guise of Cortez!).  His villains were awesome; it's almost hard to believe this is the same guy that played Ben.

I enjoyed the replies so far and hope they keep coming.  Great question, CD Tate!

I loved it, Connie!  Don't underestimate your abilities as a webmaster (webmistress?).

My computer insists on torturing me by refusing to load one of the pics.  Its caption says "THIS is what I call quality time." Can you pretty please tell what I'm missing?

I'm thrilled you got only good news, Annie! [thumb]

I understand very well that words of concern can support us in a health crisis, but since I have the job of enforcing the guidelines I have to ask that no more topics be started about this in addition to the 3 already on the boards.  Sorry!

Calendar Events / Announcements '02 II / Happy Birthday Shadowlady!
« on: August 22, 2002, 07:16:09 PM »
Today is Shadowlady's birthday!

If you've been meaning to order a copy of her bio on Frid's career, what better day to do it?  Malia's book is no mere listing of JF's various performances-- her illuminating insights into his work on stage and screen make it a fascinating read, and the beautiful presentation and numerous photos are the icing on the [birthday] cake. [winkb]

Ordering info for Malia Howard's "Jonathan Frid: An Actor's Curious Journey" can be found at http://www.curiousjourney.com/
