unless this is one of the problems alluded to in the "Bandwidth Saving Measures" thread which affects older-version (older than 5.5) IE users.

Nope, not being able to copy & paste has nothing to do with the new measures.  The problems that might affect older versions of IE would occur with compressing boards and are much more obvious.

Anyway, MB has no problems copying text either.  I don't know why some of you can't highlight/copy/paste, but it isn't caused by the forums.  Sorry.

Of course, you can't copy Robservations or anything in the Members' Archives; that's intentional.

Some people are just TOO bright to keep in the dark for too long. [wink2]

"Full A ed Newest Fervor Post" is an anagram (thanks to the  anagram site you pointed us to: Internet Anagram Server) of "DSF New Features Poll Voter".

I already knew our ProfStokes was smart, but how neat is it that she'd figure it out so quickly?!  And to think that I always found it a little cheesy (no pun intended, hee hee) that her namesake would easily discover the Danielle Roget/Leona Eltridge connection, but I guess I should reconsider that. ;)

Unfortunately, when I tried to highlight the text and copy just now, I couldn't do that either. :( Is there any alternative?

I'll have to defer to MB on this because I don't know why you can't copy text... unless this is one of the problems alluded to in the "Bandwidth Saving Measures" thread which affects older-version (older than 5.5) IE users.  The reason I suggest this is because I was just able to highlight and copy the posts in this topic using both Netscape and IE, so if you're using an older version of IE, updating may remedy the problem.  Anyway, I'll ask MB.

(What happened to the smilies?!!?)

Hi Vlad, :D

Cuz MB explains it best, I'll refer you to the "Bandwidth Saving Measures" topic that's stuck to the top of the board.

I would like to print the schedule above, but have been unable to print anything from the Forum for a long time.

Afan, just copy and paste it into another program to print it.

Could anyone do this chat?

Hi Teresalita (cute!),

Not this one because the invitations went to the voters in the features poll, but eventually the group will be larger.

Here's another idea.  The code will be short enough to work if you change color after every 4th letter:

CONG
RATULATIONS!

If that interests you, here's the
Code: [Select]

CONGRATULATIONS!

Be mindful of the length of the color names you use because even this is pushing it.  That blank line in the code isn't necessary, btw; the system added it.

My pool is calling to me now, so I hope this helped. :D

I see what the problem is.  The code has no spacing to break it up and is so long that the system is arbitrarily adding a space, as in this
Code: [Select]
[c olor=Pink]!!!and any spacing added to YaBB tags will cause them to not be read.  In your example above, you can see that it added a space before the slash mark.

It continues to happen even when I omit as many as 3 more letters in addition to the exclamation marks and after moving some of the code (both size tags and the first and last color tags) to the lines above and below.

If you have your heart set on congratulating someone in multiple colors, the only suggestion I can make is that you shorten it:

CONGRATS!!!

With longer single words you may have to start typing the tags onto separate lines, but regardless of that, CONGRATULATIONS!!! has way too many characters to make it work.

Tripwire, there are some bugs still to be worked out (obviously!), but I'm glad you and the others were able to make it and hope you had a good time.  And my sincere apologies to Carol-- You logged off just as MB was trying to get you in-- and anyone else that experienced problems. :(

Sorry about the problems. :( Some IE users weren't able to see the entrance, and our server chose a LOUSY time to be slow.  Anyway, I'm letting MB know now about what's been said here...

I searched several stores yesterday for the Dan Curtis Macabre Collection (or any individual titles in that collection) to no avail.  This was suppoed to be released yesterday as well.

Boxoffice Online Reviews rated the collection a "must have".  The review includes info on the extras:

Curtis' MPI chat, btw, has been moved to Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. CDT.  If anyone wants to receive email reminders the day before the DS chats, go here:
