LOVED this, Ringo!

What I find amazing about the Viagra ads is that apparently you don't even have to swallow the little blue pill to change for the better.  The change comes from simply talking to your doctor about it. :D

But why does this just happen when I quote something from Robservations?

Robin's summaries are transferred from another program where she has them saved.  I don't know which she's using, but I'm sure that's why artifact shows up in the quotes.  I used to have that problem in the YaBB SE version when pasting from Word (again with the Microsoft!).  Same thing with the SciFi forums (HTML tags would show up and artifact would replace quotes and dashes in the posted version, but text and format would be intact), so I had to use an HTML cleaner [thanks, Tim! :-*] and eventually just switched to a different writing program.

Robservations / OT - quoting Robservations
« on: March 11, 2003, 01:42:51 AM »
Cassandra, about those numbers and symbols that showed up in the quoted part of your original message...

It didn't happen when I quoted those same lines using Netscape, but did using Explorer.

So the bad news is that a posted quote from Robservations with IE as your browser may have its punctuation replaced by numbers and symbols.  But the good news is that it's very easy to fix-- all I did was select Modify using Netscape, then Save, and presto, the quote was normal.

This is for Microsoft's browser:  [twak]

Not that I am aware of. The story goes that the tour guide ran through a long list of stuff that was filmed over in this portion of the back lot, even mentioning that this was the same building featured in the opening of Night Court, which did nothing for me, but, the second she said Batman, I was there with the camera.

Nice photo.  The moment would've made a nice addition to the Fest video, I'm sure. [wiseguy]

They flashed up the title of the movie as they were walking inside, so you don't get so see the handprints and signatures that interest us most.  ::)

I'm glad I'm not the only one that found it irritating.  It would've been fun to spot the signatures but nooo, they had to choose that exact spot to advertise.

So, please tell me someone on the tram took a photo of you trying to get that shot...

me too going to set my VCR[gring]

Check out the credits too (if SciFi lets you see them) cuz the reappearance of a familiar face inspires a blooper the first time the character's name is listed.

victoriawinters,

You're very close to becoming a Full poster and getting another star. [cheesyb]

The level of Senior poster falls between 500 & 600 posts.

I'll add that we write from outlines planned in advance, if that helps.  Leviathans started not long ago.

There's actually a hysterical scene that I guess none of you will watch because you ff through Tim and CDT where the two of them are in the bar getting stoked and the way they play the scene, CDT clearly thinks Tim is coming onto him!  too funny!

LOL Gothick!!  Glad you told me, now I'll have to be watching out for that scene.

Ooh, it's coming up on Monday, Cassandra.  They're drinking (actually, Tim delights in getting CDT drunk), but it takes place in Tim's room.  Tate's line is priceless!

Smiley grabber, LOL!

Do you understand?  :-

The problem has to do with IE.  I see the smileys in your posts using Netscape, but in IE the sad smiley is also missing in MB's message following "Wrong."

Thursday's 2nd ep

Alexander Cort

Okay, I inserted that, but when I went to click get more, nothing happens.  :-[
...
I can't seem to manipulate it.

It opens a separate window.  Check your task bar for "Dark Shadows Forums Smileys List!".  If the window appears on the edge of your screen, click the dark blue area (or Move) and drag it to where you want it.

There'll all there, Patti, if you scroll down.  Use the down arrow key.

Does anyone use a popup ad killer?  If so, I'm curious if it has to be turned off to access the extra smilies.

First ... Istvan! Wasn't able to post anything when he was on, but I didn't want to let his appearance go by unnoticed. I think it's really sad that the actor was never credited, I imagine because it wasn't a speaking role.  Rather ironic since he actually had as much to do as many other principal performances on the show. I saw this actor in another movie once where he also played the "heavy." If my name weren't already Vlad, I might have changed it to "Istvan." (We have the exact same build, too!) :D

LOL!  I don't think Tate's creation (Alexander Cort) got credited for any of his eps either, probably for the same reason.

Speaking of the devil, Barnabas told Julia that Count Petofi had threatened to destroy the entire Collins family.  Am I just not remembering this?  When did Petofi make such a threat?

Do you remember the scene in which Petofi let Barnabas out of the coffin and demanded his help to get to the future?  He said he studied the Collins family history, rattled off some names, and Aristede arrived with flaming torches (you HAVE to remember the flaming torches!) to illustrate Petofi's threat to burn down Collinwood, and he added that Jamison's death would mean the entire Collins line would be destroyed.  Unfortunately for him, Barnabas countered that if the Collins family was destroyed, Petofi wouldn't have a way to the future.  I'm sure Robin describes it better in her summary for ep #821, but I think this is what Barnabas referred to.

Incidentally, there seemed to me more mangled and non-sensical lines in that scene in the rectory between Quentin, Julia (in shock on the bed), and Barnabas ...

I think much of the current storyline is nonsensical.  It sorta goes along with something Petofi said today after Beth's I-Ching trip-- "I am puzzled by the meaning of shadows."  Uh huh, we can relate. ;)

And wouldn't a man as tall as David Selby look ridiculous draped over a twin size bed?

There's a photo of him in which he's draped on a brass bed in the 30th Anniversay Alamanac.  Mmmm.  I'm sorry... what were we talking about? :)

O.K. you all are going to be glad when I am totally back on my feet and not bored to tears hanging around the house letting the dust bunnies take over.

Did I hear somebody mention bunnies?  :D

Why does Petofi keep Aristede around?
Julia asks "sex"?

Snort.

Glad you're up and around again, Birdie.  So now we know your random thoughts weren't caused by the fever. ;) These are too funny!
