It's probably something to do with IE as it doesn't seem to happening to too many others.

Thank you for letting me know, Cassandra.  Bobubas is having the same problem, which means all 3 reporting it when IMing also have AOL in common.

I don't understand how anyone could think they would be free to post someone else's comments elsewhere on the Web!

Neither do I, but it does happen, usually by people that just aren't thinking, though you'd be surprised how indignant some individuals can get when approached about it.

IMO, this argues strongly for keeping this forum closed ... it's easy enough to register, and it seems to keep some trouble out.

MB, Dom and I really don't see any reason to keep the forums closed to guest traffic.  Some users prefer to remain a guest despite the benefits that registration brings and we respect their right to do it.  And though attempts to make trouble are rare, problematic situations are handled pretty much the same whether the visitor is a guest or a registered member.

Apparently the copying feature has been disabled since I last visited the board.

Something I said?   :(

Copying isn't disabled.  It's just as it was before.

BTW -- apologizes for the inaccuracies in my previous post, e.g. Raineypark was doing something different from the copying I do ...

Also, I do know, of course, that "creative" writing efforts are not allowed on this site, but I was just using that as an example of how one might want to be very careful about what one posts on the Internet ... it seems to be up for grabs!

I understood what you meant.  :)

.....can anyone tell me if he's the same actor who appeared as Young Nathan in the Broadway musical "The Rothschilds" in the early 1970's?  I saw that....but I'm sure I don't have the Playbill anymore.  Thanks!

Thought you might enjoy this page about it, Rainey--

BTW, Tony-winner Keene Curtis will show up in the 1840 storyline.

I kept picturing Julia, trying to listen to the crackling noise coming out of that thing, that intense look on her face as she leans over, and having to say afterwards:  "What?"
"Go...crackle...crackle...way!"
"What?"
"G...crackle...crackle...ay!"
"It's a nice day?"
"No!  Go...crackle...crackle...way!"
"I should stay?"
"Can't you...crackle...crackle...said...crackle...crackle...ay!"
"You're gay?"
"Son of ...crackle...crackle...itch!  Jus...crackle...crackle...co...crackle...crackle...side already!"

LOL, Gerard!

Caleb is played by the luscious Nathan Fillion, who played the Captain on Firefly, a Joss Whedon series I'd love to see get off the ground again.

To me he's the real Joey Buchanan who had an affair with Dorian and not the fake one that OLTL has now.

I have not been able to catch Fillion's appearances on BTVS, unfortunately.  I just adore his mouth, though.  mmmmmmm

Another Buffy alum makes Gothy purr-- the fab Fabrizio Filippo.

The show turned out to be a 2-parter, so MTW will again appear in the May 5 season finale.

Midnite - Where can I find the rest of 'Darn Shadows?'  Would love to see it!

My sincere apologies, Cassandra Blair!  I did mean to answer this sooner.

The issue frequently shows up on ebay, and the 6-page strip will eventually be available when the member archives are back online (which get listed as additional boards on the home page).  The parody is a hoot, though I'm sorry to say it's yet another disappointment for Julia fans. :(

OT

The gent Gothick is referring to is Aldar the Leviathan played by Pierrino Mascarino who also played Thelonius the monk in the first season of Buffy in the episode I Robot ,You Jane.

A monk named Thelonius-- Oh those wacky Buffy writers!

And sorry for the off-topic, but does anyone else think it was hardly an acccident that the latest Big Bad on Buffy is named Caleb, same as the vampire on Port Charles (which boasts 2 "vampire slayers")? [lghy]

I put companion through hell, taking a photo about every 15 steps as we circled the great house. LOL.

Not at all - I can relate. [lghy]

Ditto that.  :D

Okay, I'm not bitter.  I'm not.  Really.  :-

Rainey, I'm in IE now and I see what you're talking about.  The scroll bar in the reply window is partially cut off, but I can't recall ever seeing that in Netscape.  I can still use it but you did say that it's sometimes manageable and sometimes not.  Anyway, I tried to find something that would make the scroll bar display completely but I'm out of ideas, sorry. :(

Don't know if this will help, but there's a setting in IE under Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, that says "always expand ALT text for images".  When I check it, select OK, and refresh the page the reply window goes off the screen.  The window returns to normal when I uncheck it and reload.

I'm talking to myself again.  ;D

Been there, done that.  ;)

You know who you are!

Michael T. Weiss returns to Crossing Jordan Monday nite at 10 on NBC.

A bit of background:  MTW's character was introduced earlier in the season when Jordan found out she has a brother, namely James Horton (no relation to his character on DOOL, hee hee) who isn't playing with a full deck and was the last person to see their mother alive... uh, except for her killer.

Oh, and Weiss played Joe Haskell and Peter Bradford in the '91 DS.
