I'd love to see the pilot again-- the one Gerard mentioned.   I think it was called Night Strangler.  Or did you mean The Night Stalker movie?  I'm so confused.  The former had a little "Dracula", a little "Jekyll and Hyde", and a little "Dorian Grey" added to its story, plus I enjoyed the cast more, but the latter was the better movie, methinks.  Anyway, does anyone know if SciFi or another cable station airs them?

That LP ep was pretty campy, though it was fun seeing her in it.  But I was a loyal fan to that series, same as I was to X-Files when it was on.  Whotta surprise.  ;)

I think it lasted a couple of seasons, Eleanor_R.

All my mailing lists are very quiet too.  Well, all 3 of them, anyway.  ::)

Has anyone else had a problem staying focused on the show lately?  I did perk up when Roger Collins had the little fireside chat with Angelexis (as only PT Roger can), and again today when Karlen and Barrett showed up, and yet again when Frid was on the screen.  HoDS shmods, they were missed!

Did anyone from DS ever make an appearance on Barnaby Jones?

I peeked. ;)

MB...if one knew the above; where/how could one use it within computers?

Like if I typed the hexadecimal value for khaki, instead of word khaki, what would happen?

Patti,

If you click quote in Minja's reply (#11) in this thread and take a look at the code that displays in your response window, you'll have your answer.

But in this current version of the forums, it's more important that the 2nd set of codes mirror the first.

As long as Which Witch sWitch Week is not a repeat of the red & purple color them in here, I'm pretty much open to whatever you do MB.  Those two colors together were really frightening.  The horror of it all. [crazd]

I realize we were 4th of July'ing but next year let's do a blue-white strip along the sides.  I'll even volunteer to do the graphic for ya.

On my monitor the background colors were red and blue.  Sorry you didn't like them.  The blue was the same as it is now so the red was the only addition; it was a bit shocking, I admit, but it was a nearly identical red to the reds used elsewhere on the forum, and I thought it made the place look festive for the holiday.

The graphic was completely separate from the forum colors and was outlined in red, white, and blue.  What didn't you like about it?

Patti

hmmm...why no cornflowerblue available???

It is available, but that's what happens when you experiment with the codes. ;)

What is the first number?

Code: [Select]
[glow=color,glow width,#characters wide]text[/glow]
Quote
The second is the number of characters, but how do you decide what to do for the first?  So far I haven't noticed any differences in any of them.

Maybe if they're next to each other?--

Go Girlfriend

the WORDS go & girlfriend = 12 characters; wasn't sure about spacing in between.

[bigok]

Just count characters.  Or you can enter 300-- that always works me for me-- so this
Code: [Select]
[glow=red,3,300]TEXT[/glow] comes out TEXT

Oh, you've edited it-- great!  Now just go back to the post (you can use the link in this message) as Cassandra suggested and add a comma after the color name, and then it'll be perfect. :D

When i did my little test. . there was no one else about. . i didn't say I just did it. .hence I wasn't necessarily wrong...  but i see people are wedded to their beliefs on this and what i know to be technologically possible doesn't matter a bit.  So let's just conclude this conversation and topic.

I misunderstood when you did the test.  But I contend that use of the feature is cumulative; doling out 1 cure or curse does not earn 1 of the same unless you had already accumulated karma for using the feature, and then you start accumulating all over again with the next one.  To see a total number of members online, you have to return to the main page, then to cure or curse someone you have to find their post or their profile, and in the case of the latter you'd have to view their recent messages and then open one of those posts in order to use the feature.  Then to check your own karma totals, you have to open your own profile or one of your own posts.  In that time, you wouldn't have any way of viewing a count of hidden members without returning to the main page.

I agree that this is getting us nowhere, and I will lock this topic per your request once I've had my say.  If you had access to the karma scripts for the forums and I disagreed with what you'd seen with your own eyes, then your insinuation that I'm foolishly "wedded to ... beliefs" would make sense.  And I did not say that what you've said isn't technologically possible; I said that it's not the way the karma feature currently works, and I've been hearing every word you and others have said about the feature so telling me that what you say doesn't matter a bit to me is unfounded.
