No need to search-- the answer disappeared with the lost VNet boards.  Gerard, what you may be remembering is that denise previously asked the same question when we were posting on eboards4all (the temp forum that preceded this one).  All of those posts were transferred here as indicated by the 2 dates per post, but unfortunately, no one was able to provide the answer then--

I can't help with the French translation. My last year in undergrad college I took beginner French as a "fun-filler" course, thinking it would be a breeze and at least I'd have some understanding of the language. It was the only C I got in college, and I had to fight for that.

As for the "accent", TLATKLS stated in one of her books that they did attempt a few lines with a French accent, but it sounded so......well, so bad, that they dumped it faster than she dumped the original blond wig as Maggie.

Hmm.  Newer versions of YaBB (Yet another Bulletin Board-- think of it as a message board script) are released periodically, and the one you're using right now is the most up to date.  Our new web host (the company that hosts our site on their server space) isn't finding some of the newer YaBB SE features compatible.

I have to go to dsboards dot com then click on the mirror link.

As soon as you do that, add the web address to your list of favorites and use that bookmark til further notice.

You'll see differences between this forum and the original.  For one thing, the old forum is YaBB SE version 1.5.4, and this one was updated to 1.5.5.  Secondly, several mods that had been added to the original forum were not carried over in the effort to see what caused the problems on the original forum once it was moved to the new web host.  Finally, some of the settings are different.

Post reporting is an option that was available on the earlier forum version but was disabled because we didn't feel it was necessary.  So, report to moderator is showing up now simply because MB hasn't disabled the setting.  But we can assure everyone that the mods are continuing to check all posts in a timely manner.
