I thought it was a laugh riot-- the whole thing done with tongues firmly planted in cheeks.

Calendar Events / Announcements '04 I / OT - "Cold Case"
« on: March 09, 2004, 07:10:18 PM »
Did any Julia fans happen to catch Sunday night's Cold Case on CBS?  One of the victims, played by the lovely Amber Benson, was a hippie/activist named Julia Hoffman (poor Amber-- her characters keep getting shot), and her friend, also murdered that same day in 1969, was named Gerard.  It was startling to hear that first name mentioned.

Typically in CC, the crime is solved in the closing minutes, so this next part is a spoiler in case someone plans to catch "Volunteers" the next time it airs...
The murderer turns out to be Chris Sarandon (big sigh), which means that this Julia Hoffman was killed by a vampire after all... okay, a former vampire. ;)
did this ever occur on DS?

There was Miss Polish America (that was her title, right?) Bobbi Ann Woronko, who played Amy's nurse at Windcliff.

And we can't forget Christine Domaniecki, heh!--

Miss American Vampire (1970)

His photos are beautiful.  Thanks, Stuart!

They didn't have 'Daytime Emmies' back in the '60s, right?

Unfortunately, that's right.  This year's will be the 31st annual event.

That's exciting!  The first time I saw the trailer I about fell out of my seat.  I could've sworn it said "Mark", but to find out he was named after you is even better.

John Shooter, brrrr!

I'd never heard of the term "tuckerize" before.  Would've guessed it meant to be immortalized in song by the Marshall Tucker Band.  ::)

It's showing up now (don't you hate when that happens?) but I don't know why it wouldn't have been before, vw.  Sorry.

The link should work now. :)

Referring to Willie, the Eagle Hill caretaker says, "He did something terrible!  He pretended to be something that he wasn't!" to which Jason replies, "If that were a crime, we'd all be in jail."

What a fun topic!

If I may add a few personal faves--

Constable Carter is investigating the accident and is completely oblivious to the fact that David is staring uneasily at the wrench in his hands.  He addresses the boy but David is too terrified to speak, which Carter dismisses with, "He's probably just impressed with the dignity of my badge."

Roger and Liz are bickering in front of Frank Garner, and they're giving him contradictory instructions, so Roger snaps, "Whose divorce IS this, anyway?"

Vicki comments that Barn seems very taken with the night and Julia replies with something like, "He's certainly the most dedicated night person I know."

Vicki is shocked after meeting Nicholas, and Carolyn tells her that if Lucretia Borgia could have a brother, Cassandra could too.

Magda is cleaning the Old House and exasperatedly tells Jamison that Barnabas "has brought me something called 'the wax for the floors!'"  (I would've liked to have seen her when she was using it, snicker.)

Chris tells Barnabas that Ned "is going to hound me and hound me until he kills me!"

David reveals to Hallie that he had a dream about her.  She says, "Lots of boys have dreams about me."  David adds, "Yeah, but they don't try to go back to sleep afterwards."
