Due to "unforeseen circumstances", performances from April 2 through the 8th have also been cancelled and opening night has been "temporarily rescheduled" for Friday, April 9, and the Tamarind Theatre has extended an apology for any inconvenience this may cause.

How bizarre.

And now, I think I've about reached my posting quota for the day ...

You're 2 below the limit til the forum clock resets.  ;)

According to L.A. Weekly, the production puts a modern twist on the tragedy-- the setting is present-day Denmark-- and Vitali (you know you're a struggling actor when the Times misspells your name) plays a hip Hamlet.

Would like to be informed here if there are any reviews.

Gotcha, Vlad.

I haven't been able to find an explanation as to why opening night was postponed-- only that the performances through April 1 were cancelled-- and I didn't post the cost for the first night's tickets because I thought it had already passed.  But to rectify that, tickets for tomorrow's (April 2) opening night, which includes a reception, are $70.

when I asked, "What am I not doing right"....I should've said my above words hello were in two different fonts, but didn't appear as I thought they would (in other words, can you do your voodoo and see what I did wrong, or, perhaps this board doesn't support the two fonts I chose).

Okay.  The forum supports ALL fonts, but in order for you to see them they have to be available on your computer.  I see only the forum's default fonts in your post because I don't have those fonts installed on my computer.  The fonts available to you are in the fonts folder on your computer.  If you have those particular fonts installed on your setup, try spacing between the words and see if that helps**; but if you don't have them installed, there's nothing you or I can do to make them display for you.  (**Spaces are needed in some font names, but not for color names, i.e. lucida handwriting & hotpink.)

The fonts that MB was offering for download a while back were headinjuries and hypewriter only.  But if you didn't finish installing them, you won't find them in your fonts folder.

Can you tell me two 'stylishy' type fonts that this board does support?

Where to find the fonts that will display for you was also explained in this topic:
Font help
specifically, replies #4 & 6.

Keep in mind that just because a font displays for you, it may not display for others unless they have it available in their setup too.

Thanks again....stay COOL!!

No problem there.  It's been raining here all day.  I spent the afternoon bathing suit shopping.  [wink2]

How amusing.  Love the exchange in the woods between Barrabas and the Willie character (see Barabas' side). [lghy]

who did Jessica play on ER?

jennifer,

I only read a synopsis, but if you've seen the ep then please let us know your thoughts about her.  Her character (named Dahlia) sought help for her father because he pulled out his PIC line; he was septic and unable to communicate.  She refused to leave him, so the staff argued in front of her (sigh) because one of them did a cutdown to replace the line, and later they express concern that the daughter doesn't understand that her father won't recover.  There's no DNR and she wants everything possible done for him, so they resuscitate him at one point and it leaves the father even less responsive.  When the staff approach Jessica's character about long-term care, she suddenly opens up (sigh again) and reveals...

Here there be episode spoilers--
that her father sexually abused her starting when she was in the 5th grade and it didn't stop until she was 17 when he had the accident that left him the way he is, and she asks the staff if they think people get what they deserve.  According to the reviewer, she was quite good here, subtly showing bitterness mixed with a daughter's affection.  Brrr!
