In the second season finale of Crossing Jordan, Jordan's father was seen standing over the body of the murdered chief of police.  In next Sunday's conclusion, she tracks down her unbalanced half-brother, played by Michael T. Weiss, in an attempt to clear him.

As to why they waited until the end of the 3rd season to show the conclusion to the 2nd season cliffhanger, or why they did the disappearing-half-brother trick in between, your guess is as good as mine, but I'll watch MTW in anything.  :P

"O, Brother Where Art Thou?" airs Sunday, June 6 at 10 p.m. on NBC.

Gothick, you are so wicked!  A friend had a different interpretation of that picture as she had just come from a dentist appointment.

Also, a technical note--I've tried to figure out how to collapse the new index of the 9,999 chat boards available on Current Talk, and have found defeat upon the Field of Flanders.  Do I feel like an old lady.

Inconsolable,

G.

There, there, dear.  Please rest assured that MB is considering a rearrangement of that page and the way those child boards display.  :-*

I HAVE DELETED THE QUOTE CODE AFTER MY NAME 6 TIMES, HIT PREVIEW; TRIED COPYING/PASTING JUST MY WORDS, BUT STILL QUOTE CODES AND IT APPEARS...

Yikes.  I managed to get it fixed moments before the site went down.  Anyway, your original post contained 3 quotes and you were missing the final closing quote tag, so when the system couldn't find one it inserted it at the end of your message.  The sequence should look like this:

Code: [Select]
[quote][quote][quote]Text of quote #1.[/quote]
Text of quote #2.[/quote]
Text of quote #3.[/quote]
Text of response.

To solve the problem of having to keep track of code for multiple quotes, just quote the part that you're responding to, as is there now.  If a reader wants to see the quote in its entire context, they need only follow the link back to the original post.  :)

Yes, the site was down.  Not our doing.  :-

There is a petition over at www.barnabasundead.com that is asking the WB to reconsider airing the new Dark Shadows; it already has 460 some signatures. Why don't you check it out and maybe sign it? you could also check out the site while you're there. It is a pretty nice board all-in all.

I really like this board too! I only use three boards so far and this is one of them.

Glad you're enjoying the board, Misa.  :D

The petition url is in the main topic on page 1.  Craig's forum is at http://www.barnabasundead.com/forums

Methinks you miss the belief of the test:

Lack of computer/video game knowledge --> LESS geeky
Experienced computer/video game player --> MORE geeky

;D

Heh, heh!  Hey, it's all geek to me.  ::)

I can honestly say that, other than an occasional game of computer solitaire to pass the time while my computer is working on something else for me, I've never played a computer/video game in my life. And I couldn't tell the difference between an X-Box and Nintendo if they offered to pay me a million dollars.

Amateur.

But I have a damn hard time buying that I could be geekier than MB. The system is rigged!

Exactly!!!

I just did a Google search and came up with two possibilities and I think I'm going with Society for Creative Anachronism over Sexual Compulsives Anonymous.  :D

When I googled it, I entered "geek" as well and only the former came up. ;)

Then I guess we know who the real geek around here is.  :D  Perhaps you can give me geekiness lessons.  ;)  I honestly don't know what I'm not doing right.  :(

Ha ha!  I guess I need to get in touch more with my inner geek.  ::)

Geez, I had never even heard of the SCA.   :-

(with a resultant geekiness of only 16.17357%)!

Oh, this is just WRONG.  I answered truthfully, but even counting the 1% adjustment for being female I scored higher than you. ???

Anyway, same category-- 22.68245% geek.

What a shock that we'd both be replying at the same time.  ;)

But a full minute apart? (12:03 and 12:04)... we're slipping.  ;)

1) tell if a moderator is online?  It was always sort of comforting before to see anywhere from 1 to 3 moderators online.  And, in some cases, like when I was posting at 4 a.m., it was a relief to see that no one was there wondering what the heck I was doing posting at 4 a.m. ...  :D

For security reasons we remain hidden, but knowing that you find our presence somewhat comforting is much appreciated. :)  You can still see if there are hidden members under Users Online on the home page, same as before, and please rest assured that moderator visits are spread out to cover the forums as much as possible.

2) how does one delete a post one has made -- e.g. I wasn't used to the way the new board works, and I thought my post hadn't been posted, so I re-posted it (with a couple of corrections)!  Maybe I should just ask Darren about this one ...  ;D

LOL (ouch! ;)).  I completely understand that this version requires some time to get used to.  :D

Cousins have never have the ability to delete posts.  If you mean modify (edit) them, that works the same as before except that edits must be made within 90 seconds after a post is submitted.

....just tell me when a suitable time is here so I can ask my many, many questions.....

Uhh, there's no time like the present.  But we have to ask for your patience in waiting for some features to return, particularly the ones that were written as special scripts to begin with.  And please let me point out that the help button at the top takes you to SMF User Help.  Perhaps you'll find the answers to some of your questions there?

Didn't MB do an amazing job?!!  <applause, applause>

I'm liking the "Insert Quote" feature already.  8)

Will we get spell check yet with this new mod?

SMF has a spellcheck feature, but unfortunately we can't use it yet because there's no Pspell module for PHP running on our current server.  Perhaps MB can convince them to install it, but for now can I get a boo hoo?  :'(

I know
i had it in the color purple and you couldn;t
see it at all.

Hi.  It was blue, and I changed it to cornflowerblue so it would show up against the background.  If you change your mind about a chosen color, click modify, edit the color name, and Save the change.

Click here for a full list of color names:

Hope that helped.  :)
