I wanted to copy this picture to my hard drive but got an error message about copyright.  Can someone explain this to me? Thanks

Sorry, but the images and photos on the forum aren't downloadable.  To obtain an image that someone has posted you'll need to ask the poster, in this case by sending a PM or email to Julia99.

Why under each pic does it say, "Member, Steve"?

He uploaded the images.  It's a Photo Forum.

Oh good job, Heather!  These captures are suitable for framing.

Could you send the same info to me that answers ClaudeNorth's questions, pretty please?  I've been trying to capture a scene from the DVD to print on photo paper because I have an opportunity to get it autographed by the actor (now all growed up-- it's an OLD movie), and I've tried everything I can think of but the grab always ends up being from something else, sigh.  Taking it from my video copy just won't be as clear.

And actually, since you seem to be onto something that's of interest, please feel free to post it here if you'd like.  :D

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / Re: Archived topics - don't show new??
« on: August 01, 2004, 05:17:00 AM »
but shouldn't the main Current Topic heading still have a new indicator if anything within it is new?

The indicator next to Current Talk on the home page doesn't change for me either for new posts on its archived boards.  However...

If there had been more than 5 recent posts in Testing, CE/A, etc., I never would have realized that there was someting new under Current Topics.

The indicator next to the archived board that contains the unread posts would be blue the next time you open Current Talk and would remain that way until you either read them or selected "mark as read".

In addition to showing up when when viewing "the 10 most recent posts on the forum," unread posts in archived topics also come up if you select "show unread posts since last visit" in the horizontal menu.

Current Talk '04 I / Re: Original DS to be on Horror Channel??
« on: July 31, 2004, 03:38:16 AM »
Since The Horror Channel has assured DS fans that they're making every effort to secure the rights to show the original series, I thought I'd pass along this message received from one of their site administrators.  It would be a darn shame if THC debuts with our beloved show in its lineup yet few fans are able to watch it.

Thanks so much for your support!

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / Re: Coding
« on: July 28, 2004, 04:39:41 AM »
Okay...the bracket letter / bracket...is this coding..."other places"??? than DS Boards??

If you're asking if codes are universally the same, the short answer is that they may vary from forum to forum.

DS Forums uses SMF BBC but thanks to MB we also have a few custom made codes.  Other SMF boards will also support SMF BBC.  Other types of forums (not Simple Machines Forums) will probably have their own versions of BBC that may be very similar to SMF's, whereas some forums may use HTML alone or in combination with BBC, and some may not support either.  SMF BBC is a variation of HTML anyway.

Shorter still, a code that works here might not work elsewhere.  Did that answer your question?

Quote
(Sorry Midnite...I can't remember how to show the coding....)

Any tags that you want to show up as code have to be between the code tags.  See Help for an example.

Specifically, what...do I call the coding??? (Duh.)

Bulletin Board Code.  There's a Help section on it.

How fun!  :D  Thanks for the news, doombuggy.  I MUST have the Quentin action figure.  I wish the photos showed his woofy head.

Hope you had a great time at the Con.  The list of Buffy alumni was very tempting (and Jude Law!) but unfortunately I couldn't make it.  Did you see Sarah Michelle Gellar?

They need other stuff too - maybe swords or something - otherwise, what are ya supposed to do with them?  (Remember?  When Barn first came to Collinwood in 1897 Quentin pulled a sword on him)  (Now THAT'S hospitality!)

And Q's sword could come with a collapsible table lamp.

Heather, you're an amusing wench!  8)

In case anyone is curious, David is referring to this post by yendor on the BarnabasUndead forums:
The real reason why WB said "no" to DS!

mon dieu, however did you find this, midnite?  :D

I was e-told about it.  :)
