When I do that, the file name is like this: ds_330_968.jpg. What the URL gives you is: http://www.dsboards.com/SMF/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=11757.0;attach=6013.
I swear that what I wrote last nite was a description of how to make the full URL consistently display in Explorer 6 at the time. But for some reason, it's no longer the case. Now, when I double click the image name (for example, ds_964-707.jpg) while in IE6, only the partial url displays, but when I select Open, the browser reveals the full url in the address space (unlike yesterday, when it showed up in the popup window without the extra step). Why IE6 is now working differently for our downloadable images, I have no idea. Of course, by tomorrow this could change again.
I hate IE.
The instructions MB gave don't seem to work with the file name.
MB hates IE too.
I'm not worried about it, because I'm now having no trouble with getting the URL. I'm just being public-spirited (am I wonderful or what?), in case other people have tried unsuccessfully.
I hear you.
