LOL, MB.  Your setup was too perfect to pass it up.  :D

Here's a link to the topic "DS: The Beginning DVD" on the Current Talk '07 I board, with discussion about and links to the original announcement on TVShowsonDVD.com as well as to other sites (DVD Empire, Amazon, and Deep Discount) and their pricing:

TVShowsonDVD.com just posted a news item indicating that the pre-Barnabas episodes will be available from retail sources (as opposed to the current exclusive MPI situation) beginning in late August. ...

But when I did that the other day a mod came in and changed it so it was just a link. Did I do it wrong?

Well, you were direct linking to the artist's image files (using image tags to display the images found on someone else's webspace so that they will appear here); this is called hotlinking, and it uses the other site's bandwidth (also known as bandwidth theft).  Since the Blue Whale sign images are copyrighted (see: http://www.thoughtnozzle.com/legal.html), however, uploading them to Photobucket or some other free site (or your own webspace, for that matter) in order to display them here would also not be appropriate.  The best thing to do, in that situation (when you do not own the images), is to provide a link to the webpage on which the images appear in context.

Boy, no kidding.  To say the color was overused in the pilot would be an understatement, lol.

Barnabas bent steel bars to get into Woodard's office, and later, Spoiler:
seems to easily take care of John Yeager and Nathan Forbes...
which suggest tremendous strength.  Isn't it more of an inconsistency when he asks for Willie's help to perform a physical task, like Spoiler:
to move Jason's body...
than when he doesn't seek his help, such as to move his coffin?

tried accessing the board thru firefox. cant even log in.

Firefox users can't use the login shortcut on the Home page; it only works in Explorer.  Use the login link instead and you'll be taken to another page.

Alexandra's part was just a quick cameo, perhaps not unlike Daniel Keyes' in 1776.

Okay, not like his part, since AM had no lines and little screen time.  Thanks for the info, CyrusL!

And wasn't Craig Slocum also in Adams?

Ah, Cheryl Singletary lists it in his filmography, and I wouldn't question her research.  :)

I thought that with 3 DS alums each, 1776 & the 1977 mini-series Washington: Behind Closed Doors were tied for the most number of DS folks in the cast.
Washington has Selby, Thayer & Lara.

But I forgot about Daniel Keyes in 1776, making the musical the hands down winner at 4!

How about the mini-series "The Adams Chronicles" that PBS aired during the bicentennial?  It had Nancy Barrett, Addison Powell, John Beal, and Alexandra Moltke.  Alexandra's part was just a quick cameo, perhaps not unlike Daniel Keyes' in 1776.

Also Daniel Keyes.  A discussion of his brief appearance in 1776 starts here:
Has anybody managed to spot Daniel Keyes in 1776?  He's listed in the credits, and according to IMDB, the part he played was Josiah Bartlett of New Hampshire, but so far I haven't been able to recognize him in the movie. ...

and here's a mention:
If you watch the movie 1776, not only will you see three count-'em-3 Dark Shadows alumni (although you'll see so little of Daniel Keyes that it's a wonder he even made it into the credits), but you'll never again be able to forget which were the original 13 colonies.

"Even after David attempted to stage a tantrum by throwing himself across his bed, Liz and Roger still positively refused to buy him the latest toy craze sweeping through Collinsport:

Bat-on-a-String (companion to Skull-on-a-Stick)."

Rock'em Sock'em Vampires (one red, one blue)."
