Is there a book or website that cites this information?  I'd be interested in knowing which actress played the role in each specific episode.  As well as all the other "stand-in" roles on the show.

There are sites that list the actors appearing in each episode, but as for the uncredited roles, the information is available on the web (here, for example), but not always by episode number and probably not without using a Search feature.

Roger's office at the cannery was shown in episodes 45, 46, 47, 54, 68 and 69.  I'm not sure if the set was reused for anything else.
There's a 3-page topic about that set on the Games board:  [snow_smiley]

Here is a new game, what room is this, and what else

riveryde,

If you tell me your birthday, either here or in a PM, I'll add it to your profile.  (The year is optional.)  Then it will show up automatically on the calendar every year.

There isn't a way to post directly onto the calendar without also making a post.

X is for Madame X, which stars John Beal as a young attorney (long before he played a judge on DS  [snow_wink]) who doesn't realize the client he's defending for murder is his mother.  Or something.

IINM, this set also contains the 70s' "Dominique," with the title character played by DS alum Jean Simmons.  JS plays a socialite who, after hanging herself, returns to exact revenge and whose one song keeps mysteriously playing on the piano.  Naturally, her mean hubby has her coffin exhumed to check for a body.  Maybe the writers of this one were Angelique fans?

If you create the artwork for your own private amusement, you probably won't have to worry about any actions taken against you for it

I should clarify that a bit.  By private amusement, I meant keeping it to yourself.  That's not to say that DCP hasn't looked the other way when original fan fiction, art, fan videos, performances, novels and comics (etc.?) have been posted online or distributed for free, but I don't think one can assume they're totally safe creating any of these without permission just because they don't make money off the venture, and I'd hate to see any fan experience unexpected legal problems.

I think celebrating DS fandom is great.  This coming from someone who enjoys attending Fests and meeting other fans, loves talking about the show, and started a discussion board with a couple of like-minded friends at a time when there weren't many safe places on the net for fans to discuss the show.

It is annoying that you can't copy/paste. The address to my DS image is too long to type.

You can copy and paste, chocolatevampire.  What's disabled here is only the right click.

Just highlight and copy the url as usual, then on the Forums use either Edit/Paste or Ctrl+V.  Hope that helped.

but then I also had this other 'voice' saying that it might be different if it is a portrait or artwork done of a character not a person.

I think that is a wise voice.  First off, I'm not a lawyer, so please don't consider what I'm about to say to be legal advice.  But for me, chocolatevampire's phrase "images from the show" sticks out, and I strongly disagree with David that anyone can [display] and sell "portraits of  anyone you like" for a few reasons, but we'll eliminate one of the reasons right off the bat (pardon the pun) simply because we're talking about images that can be seen on TV, DVD, etc.  So I'll just address the issue of drawing and selling the drawings of copyrighted images and characters.

Copyright law prohibits the use of a copyrighted work without the express permission of the copyright owner.  DCP has not given fans a carte blanche to use its images and characters, and you cannot assume that Fair Use applies in this situation.  If you create the artwork for your own private amusement, you probably won't have to worry about any actions taken against you for it, but your work will be commercial-- your noble reasons aside (and I think adopting and caring for stray animals is wonderful!!), you said you plan to make some money off the art, and that can be problematic.

However, that's not to say that DCP would enforce their rights.  I've seen lots of fanart sold on Ebay too at at Fests and I'm not aware that that DCP has ever done anything about fanart specifically, but that's not to say they haven't, and I don't think you should assume that what you hope to do is legal based on any of this.

To put your own mind at ease and possibly avoid future problems, I'd recommend contacting Jim Pierson and asking him how he feels about it.  Then, absolutely do not do not do not flaunt that you got the images from MPI material.

Hope the weather warms up for you!

Carolyn saw it in 1995.

I forgot about Carolyn Fredericks, thank you!
Is being alive a criteria for making this list?  If not, there's Johnny's ghost jury.  [snow_wink]

in the beginning episodes of DS, Josette appears several times-emerging from the portrait and once on the steps of Collinwood to tell David to go help the psychologist in the drawing room.

KLS played Josette emerging from the portrait, and Rosemary McNamara played her ghost in the episode where she sends David to save Dr. Guthrie as well as a couple of other times earlier in the Laura story.

Peter Bradford?

Yes!, when Vicki was hiding in there.  And I just remembered Doctor Woodard.

If we include persons who were told about the secret room but never saw proof of it, then Burke, Joe and Carolyn would make the list.
