HAPPY BIRTHDAY
mspeel007!

I just remember a silly comment about Barnabas.  And pimping.

I wouldn't mind rewatching Michael Miozza's and Darren Gross' segments, but otherwise I'm good with not seeing it again.   [ghost_smiley]

Current Talk '08 I / Re: Early songs in The Blue Whale

Actually, it's not. "Joanna" is an original Cobert composition, which evolved into the love theme for Night of Dark Shadows. (I can't recall off the top of my head, but it seems to me that it might be one of those that Cobert originally composed for a different movie altogether -- Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, perhaps? I'm sure someone here has that information right at the forefront of his or her brain.)

"Joanna" was written for the series so that is the piece's original name, and then it was reorchestrated for NoDS and renamed "Love Theme From Night of Dark Shadows."

Thanks, Uncle Roger!  Here's their home page:  http://www.bigapplecon.com/

BTW, wouldn't Ice T be considered a fan of DS, considering his absurd (I'm being kind here) contribution to that horrible unfinished SciFi special from 2000?

The LA Times' April 9 review raves about Susan Sullivan's starring performance in "An Act of Love" at the Falcon Theatre in Burbank, now through April 27.

The world premiere of the restored "Secret Beyond the Door" (1948, starring Joan Bennett and Michael Redgrave) will be at the 12th City of Lights, City of Angels on April 18 at the Director's Guild of America on Sunset Blvd.

Details about the film and its restoration, and a movie poster:  http://www.colcoa.org/2008/films/secretbeyond.asp  Other posters are available on the web and worth checking out!

For more information about the French film festival, see www.colcoa.org.  (The restoration was partly funded by the Franco American Cultural Fund.)

Great setup and answers, all!   [thumbleft]

Adam was extremely wary when Stokes suggested Adam accompany him to his place for a 'fun filled' evening of Chutes and Ladders with a Mysterious Benefactor.

The front of lines pass is great as long as everyone in your group is able to get them (they sell out, so purchasing in advance may be best) and can afford the additional 40+ dollars.

The doctors didn't know if Sam would live or die (according to Willie) and declared his condition critical.  But they didn't have MRI or CT scan technology to see what damage had been done, and since Sam was smacked in the head by someone with superhuman strength, it's my guess that he was doomed.  Cassandra blinded him, used his fear of dying to terrorize him, then postponed his death only as it suited her immediate need, but I think Adam is totally responsible for killing him.

Didn't he once joke that he would name his boat "Idiot" after her?

Really, MB?  I came across mine recently cuz the closet was painted, but it must've sat there since the late 80s.

Cupcake liners, lol.  I know the ones you mean, but have never heard them called that before.  [ghost_cheesy]

Well, I sent off my order form from the festival website in the mail today... and I did decide to go ahead and pay for the banquet again this year.

Congratulations, and thanks.  I didn't know the form had been updated.

I wonder if the Festival-sponsored day trip WILL be to Universal Studios since it's so close.  Or maybe to Greystone again, if it won't interfere with the summer camp on the grounds.

The hotel is also close to a few film and TV studios, including Warner Bros.  And Griffith Park if you're into hiking, riding, golf or biking.  Unfortunately, the Dodgers will be out of town that weekend.

There's a rail hub at the Burbank airport (on the south side; the hotel is east of the airport) with Amtrak service to San Diego on the Pacific Surfliner, which Bette tells me is quite nice.  Also to Solvang/Santa Barbara/Oxnard etc. in the other direction.

J is for jigsaw puzzle.  Amy was particularly fond of them, and so was I!  There are also vintage DS puzzles that show up now and then on ebay.
