Obviously not anything other than DS, but it should be related to the show or its fans.  And to answer your other questions, if the plot details, costumes, scores or cast members of TB are not related to DS, they are off topic.  And as the guidelines that were agreed to during registration state:

Off-topic posts are allowed but should be so labeled and should be kept to a minimum.

I merely asked that discussions of plot details be taken off the board, and there's precedent for this.  Since there must be numerous True Blood posting boards, and members who have shown interest in the series can easily be contacted using their Forum mailboxes, it doesn't seem like the request would be an obstacle to one's enjoyment of either these boards or the other show.

Hope that helped.

Discussions about plot details are better suited to a True Blood or vampire forum than a DS discussion board.

Nice closeups in the ep of the statue on the foyer table, in case someone is interested.

David's phone manners seem pretty sophisticated.  And like Lydia, I was also struck by the huge smile Amy had for Quentin (that quickly faded), and it made me think about how starved these children surely are for adult affection-- both are motherless, and one has an absentee father while the other's is deceased.  And David is an only child and (as Lydia points out) Amy may as well be.  A depressing household, and no friends with homes to hang out at.  These two must have been easy pickings for Quentin and Beth.

Do ghosts need to open doors?  That entrance was jarring.

I absolutely love the scene between Vigoda and Selby.  Ezra was delightfully dotty, and Quentin communicated so much without words.  What a comedy duo they'd make!  BTW, Abe Vigoda will be back.   [hall2_wink]

It's a pity that Barnabas didn't happen to ask Ezra Braithwaite in yesterday's episode if Ezra remembered Quentin Collins.  But maybe there are some other people who remember Quentin.

Wasn't the point of Quentin intercepting Ezra to stop him from telling Barnabas about him?  I'm probably misunderstanding what you're saying, but is Barnabas at all aware of Quentin's existence in the 19th century so that he can make inquiries about him?

Liz had her hair down, sort of, and I still can't tell if it's all hers or not.  Augh!!

Quentin appeared sad as he looked at Barnabas and Chris with the coffin.  Maybe the director just said, "Look sad, David.  I'll explain later," in the time-honored Dark Shadows way.

Interesting.  I looked for that and didn't notice any sadness in his expression.  But I only recall three expressions in Quentin the ghost's repertoire-- intense, creepy, and quite pleased with himself.  Sadness seems completely out of character for him.

Exactly!  Thank you for your insight.  It's too bad we'll never know for sure, sigh.

While Bruno's clothing could certainly be described as flashy or zooty (already on the list), I honestlycan't recall that he-- it would have been anachronistic to dress Laszlo or Aristede that way-- ever wore a zoot suit.

Speaking of Joan Bennett's hair in these eps, I can't decide if the entire back part (that curls under at the bottom) is a wiglet or her natural hair.  It looks like a perfect match to her hairline, but I'm leaning toward it being a hairpiece.  mscbryk, what do you think?

i was always a fan of the kitchen/breakfast room and that funky greenhouse area.

I also miss the kitchenette in the caretaker's cottage.   [hall2_sad]

Speaking of disappearing items in the cottage, what happened to the other 2/3 of the poisoned whiskey seen in the previous ep when Chris poured his last glass?

Was this the first time that a stagehand can be heard uttering an expletive?  [hall2_wink]

I wonder if DS exaggerated the effects of poison. When people on DS took poison, it usually took effect very quickly. Does that happen in real life? [ghost_huh]

In strychnine poisoning, it unfortunately does.  Severe and extremely painful spasms begin within minutes after ingestion yet the victim remains fully conscious.  One wonders if it was Quentin's intent to murder Chris with the cruelest method available to him.  Though it was an interesting twist that Chris first thought he was undergoing a transformation.

I don't *believe* anyone took David/Amy to the zoo.

I think that's right, though Barnabas did offer to take them to the Boston Zoo, and so it's already on the list as a Z word.
