**** JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT –
NEW FILM IN RELEASE – NEXT FILM OPENS AUG. 7

Joe (1991 DS' David, Daniel) stars as "Tom," a greeting card author, in the new movie (500) DAYS OF SUMMER, in nationwide release as of 7-16.

Publicity: He "co-stars with Zooey Deschanel in a bittersweet romantic comedy-drama that jumps back in forth in time and includes unexpected touches like a big musical number, as Gordon-Levitt's character reflects on the arc of a relationship that lasted exactly 500 days..... The film premiered before a sold-out crowd of nearly 2,000 at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and got very positive notices."

Joe co-stars – hidden behind an elaborate mask, make-up, and prosthetics – as the villain "Cobra Commander" in the highly-anticipated action feature G.I. JOE: RISE OF THE COBRA. It opens nationwide 8-7.

Kathryn (Maggie, Josette, Rachel, Kitty) asks SG to announce: "I've been invited to sign autographs at Comic-Con International 2009 in San Diego. While I was asked to sign all four days, I am only available from 3 - 7pm on Thursday, July 23. For more information,

She also asks SG to report: "I am thrilled that Opera News has published my piece FATAL ATTRACTION: THE STAR AND THE STALKER in the August 2009 issue now available on new stands. I think the voiceover line that states that "many strange things have happened since the blood-red sun set on the great estate of Collinwood" puts to rest any suspicion that the recent unnatural events (including the deaths of Julianka, Sandor, and the baby boy) occurred over more than one night.

Ah, the handy hatchet that has never been on that wall til it was needed.

Quentin, thinking:  "There was going to be another Quentin Collins, but he died."
Would he really have changed his baby son's name to Quentin Jr.?  That seems like such an un-Collins thing to do.

Magda to Quentin:  "We fight. I yell at you. You yell at me."
Not to mention that she curses and he throttles, arm twists, badgers, threatens, and slaps.

I wonder, did it hurt to have real sideburns growing in while gluing fake ones over them 'till they came in?

The fake ones sat higher, so I'm guessing they were glued to bare skin.  Before & after pics are on the same Robservations page, so maybe someone who know about theatrical makeup can take a look and tell us what they think.

A boom mic lingered over Tim's head as he stood in the drawing room. But that followed, and was nowhere near as amusing as, the...

glimpse of the foyer and portrait through the gap where the cameras moved from room to room.

Quentin confronts an assassin armed with only a letter opener?

When Tim found the hand, was the sound bite of Magda and Quentin discussing its magic and power really necessary?  We saw Tim eavesdropping during the original conversation and even got a closeup of his pleased reaction, so who suddenly decided that the audience couldn't remember what happened not even 10 minutes before?

So you have not trekked down to its basement. When you do go, don't forget to carry a big cross. lol I mean you never know.

 

Ah, the CNN interview when the lights went off and on a few times, though I recall only Bella Shaw making a deal out of it.

I still haven't been into the basement of Greystone either, jimbo.  But I'm hopeful to have the chance someday now that the bowling alley is part of pop culture.

I highly recommend the production of "The Manor" should one of their seasons happen to coincide with your visit to the area, but you must make your reservation in advance because it's still selling out after 7 years.  I do admit that it opens and closes a bit creepily with the "ghosts" of past party goers roaming the mansion's living room.
