He says he has been able to separate the audio in the control booth from the sound and hears what Lela Swift and Dan Curtis are saying.

And you believe him?

Thanks, Uncle Roger.  I do want his autograph and the photo is from the DS era, yay!

Ditto:
Joeytrom, if you're referring to Mark Masse's site, it looks to me to be half episode summary and half fiction.

Thanks to tonight's Jeopardy, which covered 4 quiz answers (including the vegetable), I got them all right.

According to Wikipedia, Bobby Sherman did record Seattle (though he changed some of the lyrics) and while it did get some radio airplay, it was never released as a single.

But it did come out as a cereal box record!  Kosmo sent this link for the cardboard 45:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrKuCAzBMBU

Maybe I'm just too used to the way it was sung on the show, but I'm not a fan of Sherman's version.  And btw, I NEVER forgot that David Soul was in the cast.

A CASUALTY OF INDIFFERENCE:  Drugs shatter a loving family when Mary Ellen Heater’s grandfather discovers her sister’s body while searching for cans and bottles at the local garbage dump.   It appeared to him that she had been shot twice in the head at close range. The grandfather’s discovery leaves the family shattered. Against her father’s wishes, a devastated Mary Ellen, determined to solve her sister’s murder, convinces her older brother to persuade the local kingpin of a known ‘drugs for guns’ place called “Deadend,” where her brother works, to hire her. She does not inform her brother why she wants the job, other than needing money. She does not mention her determination to gain information that will help solve her sister’s murder. Mary Ellen puts her promising singing aspirations on hold and with her grandfather’s help, she sets out on her quest to avenge her sister’s murder…which will have ramifications for the whole community.

---- ROUND TOWN PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES THE DIGITAL RELEASE OF THE NEW MINNESOTA FOLK HORROR FEATURE, “LOON LAKE”

Publicity: “Acclaimed independent filmmaker Ansel Faraj, the writer/director behind Doctor Mabuse and The Last Case of August T. Harrison, has partnered with Round Town Productions on Loon Lake, which debuted exclusively on Amazon Video on September 26 from distributor Indie Rights. The folk-horror thriller, inspired by the legend of the “Witch of Loon Lake,” was shot entirely on location in Minnesota.”

Summary: “Eager to escape the grief of a recent tragedy, Louis Olsen travels to southwest Minnesota, seeking the peace of the rural countryside. When he accidentally disturbs the grave of the small town’s alleged ‘witch,’ what began as a peaceful reprieve unravels into a haunting nightmare from which Louis cannot escape. Weaving between past and present, truth and fiction, reality and nightmare, Loon Lake is a suspenseful and atmospheric thriller.

“David Selby (Dark Shadows, Falcon Crest, The Social Network) stars in a compelling dual role as 1880’s Pastor Owen Janson, the conflicted community leader torn between temptation and righteousness, and as the Pastor’s great-grandson Emery Janson, a present-day farmer who bears the burden of his forefather’s sins. Starring opposite Selby as Louis Olsen, a man driven to the brink of madness by grief, is the film’s co-writer Nathan Wilson (Will & Liz, Doctor Mabuse). Kelly Kitko (Devil’s Domain, Halloween Pussy Trap: Kill! Kill!) portrays Mary Jane Terlinden, the villager accused of witchcraft by Pastor Janson who returns to avenge her death; and Kathryn Leigh Scott (Dark Shadows, The Great Gatsby) guest stars as Pastor Janson’s resolute wife Lena.”

Regarding pricing and access: “The film is hosted on Amazon Prime Video “On Demand.” The rental fee is $3.99 for HD or $2.99 for SD. The film may also be purchased for digital download at $10.99 HD or $9.99 SD. A Special Edition Blu-ray is planned for early 2020.

A message from Ansel Faraj:
“To all my Dark Shadows friends and extended family: So many of you have stuck with my work from the first Doctor Mabuse (2013) when I was only 20 – and have seen my progression both artistically and technically; you fans accepted me and my work – Thank you, guys, for all the encouragement and support. With this film I want to give you a mind-bending ride in return.

“This film was truly a labor of love for us all, it was self-financed on a very miniscule budget – fully independent and handcrafted by myself and my two partners in the production, Nathan Wilson (who grew up with this story), and Kelly Kitko – the three of us were the full studio, production crew, and post-production team. Last September, we drove from Los Angeles to Round Lake, MN, towing a U-Haul filled with all sorts of creepy props, wardrobe, and camera gear; taking over a small town (who were only too happy to host us), and running rampant with David Selby (and Kathryn too!)

“We’ve worked hard to give you a good spooky film for the Halloween season; and if you enjoy it, please give us a brief review on Amazon - it truly helps - and tell your friends!

“In addition - Here are my earlier productions featuring DS alums Kathryn Leigh Scott, Lara Parker, Jerry Lacy, Christopher Pennock, and Lisa Richards, which are available to purchase on DVD from Oldies.com
