--- FAN COSTUME/PRESENTATION GALA – Sat. – 8:00pm
The Fan Costume/Presentation Gala on Saturday evening welcomes fan participants of all ages, just for the fun of sharing your own costumes, performances, and DS enthusiasm.

Gala Coordinator/Mistress of Ceremonies Marcy Robin encourages all fans to participate and be in the audience to support and cheer each entrant. Pick up an entry form at the Fest Information Desk on Friday or by Saturday at 6:00.

Marcy says: You are invited to come onstage to show off your outfit as a DS character or DS- or horror genre- inspired persona, or to perform a recitation, song, dance, or skit. Please note there is a per-entry 2-minute time limit. Any accompanying music/recording must be on a clearly-labelled CD, not on tape.

Shortly before the Gala (approximately 7:30) is a rehearsal, where participants hear ideas and tips on the best ways to present their costume/performance, ask questions, and receive the line-up order of entries. Be sure to bring your completed entry form with you to the rehearsal! It's understandably normal to feel nervous or unsure, but the Gala is for the joy of sharing, no matter your age or theme of your entry. Infants with parents, children of all ages, and adults to seniors step onstage to create their own DS-inspired interpretations. Please come and join in!

Gala questions: Please contact Marcy as soon as possible via e-mail: ShadowGram@aol.com

It's about time that we hear a Lisa Richards voiceover.

This was Joe Caldwell's 4th script in a row, and he had a female character screaming in terror in each one:  Alexis in #992, Hannah in #993, and Amy in #994 & 5.  It's not cool, Joe.

Bruno wants to spend the night in the room upstairs that Cyrus stays in he's working late.  But why would a bachelor like Cyrus sleep in two different bedrooms in his own house, depending on how late he works?

Chris Pennock totally hammed it up during his transformation, and I loved it!

I was surprised to see actor credits at the end but not a production credit in sight, not even for DCP.

Dameon's ghost spoke in this ep, so seeing his name at the end made more sense than in his previous appearance when all he did was mime.

So what'd he do, put an ad in the newspaper seeking a test subject? It seems like there's more to it than that. It seems to me that all of Angelique's pals knew each other, maybe passed each other outside her bedroom or something.

Maybe Angelique introduced Cyrus and Bruno-- her pet scientist and pet composer?

Jerry Lacy as Mr. Trask doesn't do anything for me.  But I still say Tony Peterson is hot.

Is PT Quentin Roger & Elizabeth's brother or cousin?

He's their cousin.  At least that's what was stated the vast majority of the time.

I don't say this to be contrary, but just happened to notice Bruno smoking a cig at his piano when I watched #994 this morning, and it did seem odd.

For its staff alone, PT Collinwood has its regular time counterpart beat.  We've seen or heard about a butler, cook, chambermaids, a gardener, the estate manager, and a very hands-on maid.

Trask to Quentin (about Hoffman):  "I do hope it wasn't a family emergency that called her away."
Hoffman has family?!
Quentin to Trask:  "Occasionally, even Hoffman needs rest, so I sent her to visit her friends."
She has friends??!!

Trask to Quentin:  "I had to go up and get the keys to the car. I can take Amy into town now."
I thought it was decided that Amy would stay at Loomis House since her brother was leaving soon for a trip.  Did I miss something?

I suppose it's possible for there to be a window in a basement that's accessible only from inside Collinwood. (??)

I'm assuming, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that Dameon was the spirit that spoke through Sabrina at both seances.  But if so, what caused him to haunt Collinwood only after seance #2?

If anyone besides me has wondered why Jered Holmes didn't have a bigger career, here's info I was able to gather (like, just this morning) on this very creative man:  The actor, singer, model, photographer, thrift shop aficionado, and self-taught artist was 30 (give or take a year) when he played Dameon the ghost.  In the summer of 1970, he appeared on "Another World" as the attorney of Robin Strasser's Rachel; that role lasted less than a year.  He starred on Broadway in 1972 in "That's Entertainment," but very poor reviews led to the musical's withdrawal after only 4 performances.  In the mid 80s, he made a couple of films and had a small role in "As the World Turns," but it was the technique he invented for waterproofing collage pieces, particularly plates that he created as gifts for celebrity friends, that led to requests and made him a well-known decoupage artist.  Holmes passed away in the early 90s.

If the IMDb is to be believed, he appeared 6 times as the Sheriff, and 4 times as Lt. Riley.

Gladstone to Cyrus:  "On whom, or what, were you performing the experiment?"
He's unkempt and seedy, but the man knows to use correct grammar.

We learn that despite his hatred of his wife's fascination with the supernatural, Quentin was not only a participant at the original seance, but he became so enraged by what he learned about Bruno and Angelique that he choked her immediately before her stroke.  From this, Alexis concludes that someone else must have murdered her.  Hello, hypoxia from strangulation IS a cause of stroke.

Quentin to Hannah:  "I really don't subscribe nor believe in the occult. All that you have to know is there does seem to be a restless spirit in this house."
Contradictory much?

...Nice to see Q terrorized and nearly driven out of his mansion by a ghost.  And that's all I got.

I enjoyed that too.  Lots of good stuff in your comments, I think.

I have to wonder whose coffin Barnabas borrowed??  Did he and Carolyn go to Coffin’s ‘R’ US?

In #981, after Barnabas told Carolyn they must find a coffin for him that night, they headed to the cemetery together.  And as you mentioned, just where does one get a coffin at a cemetery unless it's used?  I sure as heck hope the writers weren't implying that he could expect to find an empty one in the secret room, because that would be beyond absurd.

Added a spoiler to the end of your comments, T, and if you wish, you could repost the entire last paragraph under #994.  (Except for his face on the sheet music, Bruno didn't appear in this ep.)

Aww, sorry you can't make it, Sally.

Current Talk '10 I / Re: Discuss - Ep #0992

Hannah's mentions of such things as "stars in opposition, the heavens in turmoil" and the "blood red hand" of Death left me with no doubt that this was Joe Caldwell's work.

Hannah to Bruno:  "Remember, the dead can return in many ways."
I did remember those words when an odd-shaped shadow moved into view while credits were already rolling and just stayed there.  Weird.

Is it possible that Stroka is skinnier than Twiggy? My God!

Snort.  Maybe he should have let the costumers dress him because his other characters didn't appear to be so thin.  Your description of Bruno's vest is hysterically funny, Janet.

I wonder what the recipe for "bone Dust" is?

Take bone, pulverize it.  I've purchased bone meal at the local garden center, which I learned attracts dogs eager to dig up anything you fertilize with it, but who knew it could be used to conjure the the Spirit of Death?!
