Scott was born on February 22, 1942 in Los Angeles and began his acting career with DS,
followed by another daytime drama, Where The Heart Is in 1972.  During his days in New
York, he also appeared on stage with DS co-star Lara Parker in the musical Lulu.

Returning to Los Angeles, Scott became most famous with a two-year run on the primetime
serial Dynasty in the 1980s. He also co-starred in the series Cliffhangers and made guest
appearances on numerous programs such as Murder She Wrote, Murphy Brown, Adam-12,
Barnaby Jones, Night Court, Cannon, Fantasy Island, She's The Sheriff and Battle of the

--CELEBRATING CHRISTOPHER PENNOCK

It is with a truly heavy heart that we report the passing of Chris Pennock today in Santa Monica, California at age 76 following several days of hospitalized care.

The always passionate and irrepressible Chris has been a warm presence at the "Dark Shadows" Festivals for decades, always ready to share his time and talents with fans in person as well as through his imaginative comic books and his personal Facebook page.

Starting with a variety of sinister and slightly off-center characters on the original "Dark Shadows" daytime series during its final two years -- where he portrayed the grown Leviathan creature called Jeb Hawkes, the split personality scientist Cyrus Longworth and his evil alter-ego John Yaeger, astrologist Sebastian Shaw and the murderous Gabriel Collins --  Chris became a longtime player on soap operas, later appearing in "Somerset," "General Hospital," "The Young & The Restless," "Days Of Our Lives" and "The Guiding Light."

On primetime television, Chris made guest spots on "Melrose Place," "Simon & Simon," "The Love Boat," "Dynasty," "The A-Team," "Tucker's Witch" and "Hotel."  Chris made his movie debut in "Night of Dark Shadows" in 1971 and was also seen in "Savages," "Basic Training," "The Great Texas Dynamite Chase," "California Suite," "Frances," "Doctor Mabuse: Etiopomar" and, most recently, "A Journey To A Journey."

Chris performed on the Broadway stage in "The Rose Tattoo," "Abelard & Heloise" and "A Patriot For Me."  His other theatrical credits include "The Philadelphia Story," "Third," "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" and "Royal Hunt Of The Sun."  He is a lifelong member of The Actors Studio, a professional organization for actors, directors and playwrights best known for  teaching method acting.

In addition to his series of "Dark Shadows"-inspired comic books, Chris also participated in numerous new "Dark Shadows" audio dramas over the past two decades. Born June 7, 1944 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Chris was also a devoted practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism and lived with his school teacher wife Lynn in the rustic mountain community of Idyllwild, California.

In addition to Lynn, he is survived by their daughter Tara.

Chris will be dearly missed by his family, friends and many fans but his boundless energy, creative talents and loving spirit will live on.

SHADOWGRAM UPDATE # 441

REMEMBERING DIANA MILLAY (June 7, 1935-January 8, 2021)

It is with extreme sadness that we report the passing of beloved Dark Shadows actress Diana Millay who portrayed Laura Collins.

Debuting as Dark Shadows' first full-fledged supernatural character in 1966, Diana relished playing the immortal phoenix Laura, the estranged wife to Roger Collins (Louis Edmonds) who returns to claim her son David (David Henesy).  Following Laura's fiery finale in 1967, Diana returned to the series in 1969 with an earlier incarnation of Laura in the 1897 storyline. She played another version of Laura in the 1971 motion picture Night of Dark Shadows.

Diana was passionate about her role as Laura and shared her enthusiasm for many years at Dark Shadows Festivals and other events.  Her love for art, history, folklore and travel prompted Diana to host an overseas excursion with fans to Egypt in 1988 and to Romania in 2003.

Born in Rye, New York, Diana began modeling as a child into her teens and started acting in summer stock stage plays during summer vacations. By the mid-1950s into the early 1960s, she was appearing on numerous live television dramas from New York including Kraft Television Theatre, Studio One, Philco Television Playhouse, Omnibus, The U.S. Steel Hour and Playhouse 90.  She also served as straight woman for comics Bob & Ray on The Ed Sullivan Show. In Hollywood, Diana guest-starred in dozens of filmed drama and comedy series from the late 1950s through the 1960s including Perry Mason, Bonanza, Dobie Gillis, Rawhide, Father Knows Best, The Rifleman, Thriller, Maverick, My Three Sons, The Virginian, Route 66, and The Man From U.N.C.L.E.  Her last television appearance was in 1970 as a regular on the soap opera The Secret Storm as Kitty Styles.

Diana's career also included co-starring roles in the motion pictures Tarzan And The Great River and Street Of Sinners. She appeared in the Broadway productions Fair Game, Drink To Me Only, Roger The Sixth, The Glass Rooster and Boeing-Boeing in addition to the national tour of The Seven-Year Itch. Her co-stars included Robert Duvall, Alan Alda, William Shatner, David Janssen, and Peter Graves.

In her later years, Diana added "author" to her list of creative accomplishments, writing the books I'd Rather Eat Than Act, The Power Of Hallowee,n and How To Create Good Luck.

She is survived by her son Kiley Jones.

I would've tried harder to attend the '96 Fest had I known would be Michael Stroka's last.
