Yesterday evening (9-26), Chris (Jeb, Cyrus/John, Sebastian, Gabriel) emailed me his exciting announcement.
 
“My grandson was born yesterday (Wed., Sept. 25) in Berkeley!!  My daughter Jamila and husband Chad Wolf!  Baby was a BOY...9 pounds! Named DRAKE WOLF!  ((Chris’ wife)) Lynn is flying up there as we speak...I shall head up soon!  We are very happy!  A first for us!”
 
Jamila married Chad Wolf at Joachin Miller Park in Berkeley the weekend of Sept. 24-25, 2011, so Drake arrived in time for their second anniversary.

SG congratulates Drake and his entire family as they welcome him into their lives with love, happiness, and delight!

KATHRYN (Maggie, Josette, Kitty, Rachel) reports she’s “Miriam” in an episode of the new ABC sitcom “The Goldbergs.” She guests as the girlfriend of George Segal’s character in “Call Me When You Get There.” She says, “I had such a great time working with George! Wonderful cast and crew and great fun!”
 
**** JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT – WROTE, DIRECTS, STARS IN HIS FIRST FEATURE FILM
 
Joe’s (1991 David, Daniel) new movie “Don Jon” opens nationwide today (9-27).  His “Jon Martello Jr.” is a New Jersey guy who hits the bars and scores a one-night stand with a different beautiful woman every time. But he’s also comfortable recognizing that he gets more enjoyment on every level from his intense addiction to pornography.
 
LA Times 9-27: “Smarter than your average R-” rated film, “one of the most amusing and oddly-insightful,…romantic comedies (is) built around the power and potential pull of porn.”  It is
subversive, suggestive fun” and “much of its likability is because of its unapologetic frankness…. Certainly a great deal of the credit goes to (Joe) for his shrewd take on the topic.”

Frid Fund in Canada.

In some cases she was working with xeroxes as well as yellowed articles. So it was a problem she wasn't able to avoid.

the creepiest episode (and I can't for the life of my remember its title) involves a woman whose husband (or father?) is killed by a puppet/dummy that comes to life.  Has a super spooky denouement, if I remember correctly.

This is the only episode that I've seen in recent years, and just a month or so ago at that.  It's called "The Weird Tailor" and was memorable because it was so unusual-- the black mass, the son in the freezer, the real horror of domestic violence, and yikes, that ending!
