The movie trailer for Chain Link, starring Jim Storm, can be found here.  There are production photos of JS and a bio that lists DS.

The same trailer starts quicker here.  (yay YouTube)

The movie premieres next week at a Calabasas film festival (the 2008 Method Fest in L.A.).

It's too bad they didn't have Storm handle the music.  Not my usual style, but the main song is catchy.

The LA Times print edition reported a few days ago in "'Chorus Line' amends payouts" that artists who participated in the musical's original interviews and workshops (that led to the creation of "A Chorus Line") will now have a financial stake in the current NY revival as well as major future productions, which includes (the article mentions) Donna McKechnie.

The Dalloways, a Central California band whose style is, I guess, 60s British pop, just released a CD called "Dirty Money and Filthy Love" that illustrates the passion that lead singer/songwriter Gerhard Enns and his wife, keyboardist/singer/songwriter Cortnie Cleary Enns, have for DS.   They've included sound bytes from the show in the song "Didn't Have the Time," which is about a young woman's preference for solitude and reading, which her partner feels is a waste.   It's amazing how perfectly the dialogue in a scene between Alexandra and Anthony George, with Vicki saying she wants to stay home and Burke barking at her that he knows what she needs, fits the song (or perhaps inspired it?), which you can dl a sample of here:  http://cdbaby.com/cd/dalloways2; it's track #5, about halfway down the page.

In the Calendar section of today's LA Times (next to the Val Lewton article):

Fortune shines on Clive Owen -- His turn as a con man adds to the appeal of the so very British 'Chancer.'
An excerpt:  Part con drama, part soap opera, with sets straight out of "Brideshead Revisited" and a keyboard-heavy score possibly lifted from "Dark Shadows," ...
