---- JERRY LACY IN NEW PLAY, "SURVIVING MAMA"
Jerry (Tony Peterson, Rev. Trask, Lamar Trask, Gregory Trask) is "Father" and "Pinsky" in the world premiere of "Surviving Mama," currently onstage in Santa Monica, CA.
Using flashbacks and contemporary scenes, the family drama is based on the Holocaust experiences of the playwright's mother, a feisty woman who escaped Nazi Germany in 1939 and eventually settled in Los Angeles. The character of "Mama" now suffers from dementia and declining health. Her adult daughters are considering placing her in an eldercare facility - and she reacts to their efforts.
Publicity: "Mama, who has survived many crises in her life, now battles her daughters who want to move her to a 'home.' Courageous, street smart and fiercely independent, Mama impacts everyone who knows her. While Mama's fate is being determined, long-held family secrets are revealed. A stunning, emotional drama."

Chris (Jeb, Cyrus/John, Sebastian, Gabriel) asks SG to please share his following message:
"Please let every Dark Shadows fan about my LA show, The Dresser, at The Actors Studio in West Hollywood, running weekends until Thanksgiving!!.

"We've been working on this for several months at the Actors Studio. West Coast Artistic Directors, Martin Landau and Mark Rydell, approved the cast themselves (kind of cool, if we do say so ourselves).
"It's a fun and touching comedy set in 1942 England about a touring theatre company's leading man and his dresser one night backstage during a production of KING LEAR . The cast of this production are all Life Members of the Actors Studio.
"The best part is it's absolutely FREE!!! FOR EVERYONE!!! Make your reservation and come along to enjoy some really fun theater."

SG is asked to announce:

---- MARIE WALLACE INJURED DURING PLAY PERFORMANCE
Last month, SG Update #271 reported news from Marie (Eve, Jenny, Megan) about her starring role as "Carol" in THE LAST ROMANCE at the 7 Angels Theatre in Waterbury, CT. The play opened Oct 18.
However, on Oct. 21, Marie accidentally fell off the stage during the blackout at the end of Act One and broke her shoulder. She underwent surgery a couple of days later.
SG joins DS fans everywhere in wishing Marie a quick, easy, and complete recovery. May you soon be back 100%, Marie!
