Kelly Hu has been busy. In addition to joining the cast as a cop for season 2 of 50 Cent's BMF on Starz, she was recently added to East New York in a recurring role as an "influential political policy adviser". On Sunday night I just happened to catch one of her scenes opposite Jimmy Smit's character and noticed good chemistry between them, though not so much in this photo:

Joan Bennett gets "special guest star"* credit on Burke's Law in an episode airing Sunday at 1 pm Eastern/10 am Pacific.  Look for "Who Killed Mr. Colby in Ladies' Lingerie?" to see the time in your area.

*also Paul Lynde, Edd Byrnes, Bert Parks

Dennis Patrick appears in the Honey West episode "King of the Mountain" which airs tonight at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT and again Sunday at 7:30 am ET/4:30 am PT.  It's a 30-minute ep.

Calendar Events / Announcements '24 I / Diana Millay on 77 Sunset Strip
« on: December 10, 2022, 05:24:41 AM »
There's another pre-DS appearance of Diana Millay this coming Monday on MeTV+, this time in an episode of 77 Sunset Strip from 1964.

If you have access to MeTV+, please note that the eps currently airing are in the show's 6th and final season when things got really weird.  All cast members were dropped save for Efrem Zimbalist Jr., and his office is completely different, yet the title of the show remains the same, which makes zero sense.  It also lost all its kookiness, not to mention Kookie (Edd Byrnes) himself.  The popular theme song is also gone.

"Alimony League" airs Monday, December 12 at 6 pm Pacific, 9 pm Eastern.  If the show is available for streaming anywhere, it's news to me.

Calendar Events / Announcements '24 I / Hocus Pocus 2 and DS

Is the scriptwriter for the Hocus Pocus sequel a DS fan?

Without giving too much away, a new character in Old Salem who is obsessed with witches is named Reverend Traske.  This causes his descendant, who resembles him exactly, to be the obsession of the witches in modern time.  Hmm.

Calendar Events / Announcements '24 I / Larry Storch at the 2007 Fest
« on: July 10, 2022, 08:30:57 PM »
Larry Storch, who passed away this past Friday at the age of 99, made an appearance at the 2007 DS Fest, surprising his fellow Broadway tour co-star from Arsenic and Old Lace.  I thought I might repost the links to Joeytrom's fantastic photos from the event:

Larry Storch showed up as a surprise guest for Jonathan Frid today.

I have pictures to work on and will post them tomorrow.
This is an easier way to do it:

There are several other mentions of Larry Storch on the board, including this one from Uncle Roger in 2016 about a Marie Wallace appearance and tribute to her friend:
Marie Wallace will be making an appearance at the Metropolitan Room in NYC on July 10th for a 7pm show as part of a tribute to Larry Storch. Larry is best known as Corporal Agarn from F Troop but also appeared with Jonathan Frid in Arsenic and Old Lace and with Marie in I Oughta Be in Pictures. He has also popped in at least one Dark Shadows festival. Other guests on the schedule include Eddie Deezen from Grease and celebrity impressionist Marilyn Michaels. Tickets run from $24 to $115, with the usual two drink minimum.  metropolitanroom.com

Very sad news to share:  Raineypark, a long-time DS cousin, former board moderator, and huge Willie Loomis fan passed away this month after a long illness. MB, Dom and myself are comforted that our dear friend is now at peace, and I know she's probably already hanging out in the ether with fellow New Yorker Karlen. [love9]

Calendar Events / Announcements '24 I / MacGyver at Greystone
« on: December 29, 2021, 03:21:18 AM »
"Deathlock," the Season 1 ep of MacGyver (the OS) that was filmed inside and on the grounds of Greystone, will air on H&I on Thursday, Dec. 30 at 2 pm in the East & West. Tremendous liberties were taken with the mansion's layout, and the star occasionally acts pretty stupid in this one.
