Sheriff Patterson:  Look I don’t care who got to the park swing first you can both take turns, maybe one of you could use the slide or the monkey bars while you wait. 

Exchanges between Burke in Sheriff Patterson are a highlight of these early episodes.  The pen theory might get a bit over done a bit, but sets up a lot of tension and is a more logical source of drama than some shows in general provide. 

I know it would never happen, but imagine if Malloy‘s death was condensed into a mini series with digitally improved video quality.  Or what if someone wrote a book inspired by the story line.

‘Dark Shadows’ Gets New Blood With Sequel Series In the Works At the CW From Writer Mark B. Perry

Is it old news resurfacing? Seems odd that there would have even been that 2019 attempt, since they already had a failed pilot in the early 2000’s  . . .  CW is the same as The WB right? 

I think I’d prefer an inspired by effort rather than a continuation or a reboot.  Not that I didn’t really enjoy 1991  . . . It is just reboot fatigue and fears about botching up something.

Burke:  You’re armor plated hat is no match for my steel toed penny loafers!  You’re just lucky I’m not the violent type.
