Grayson VO. Hearing almost-Julia is a bit like having an extra character in the episode. Carl fades in strangely during it. Magda returns, and BS's Barnabas with "good news"... THE HAND!!!!!!! Barnabas of course keeps his cool completely, being used to grotesqueries, but viewers must have been shocked. It made a lifelong impression on me, with that bone sticking out the end... You just didn't see that sort of thing on TV. I'm not sure films even did much, yet.
Pansy gets more screen time dead, than alive. Don't visit Collinwood... just don't. She travels the world, makes a quick side trip to a small Maine town because of a giggling clown she thinks she can take for a few bucks, and poof, dead, and then she can't even rest. Stuck there for eternity, maybe.
The dream she sends Carl is pretty elaborate, with the Pansy Show having its own sign/logo on the curtain. "Who... is... a vampire!!" Exciting game, they should make a version you can play at home. We get a silly, unconvincing scream from dream-Judith, and dream-Barnabas seems unsure what he's doing there.
Barnabas leaves for his last night at the Mausoleum supposedly, which he transferred to because, I guess, all the talk might have drawn the family to look in his basement again. He leaves by the door, after assuring Magda that the staking of Dirk has ended the risk to himself, yet I doubt he intends to walk the whole way. The dream leads Carl to the Mausoleum, where he witnesses Barnabas repacking himself. Carl knows. End.
