I am not sure if anyone has posted this yet.
Kathryn Leigh Scott and  a few other former Playboy Club bunny's are pictured with the cast of NBC's The Playboy Club on page 8 of the September 26-October 2 issue of TV Guide. As some of us may already know that some of the storylines will be based on accounts in her book the Bunny Years.

Calendar Events / Announcements '11 II / OT: East Coast Earthquake
« on: August 23, 2011, 10:09:38 PM »
I wonder if and festival attendees and guests still in Brooklyn or fans who live on the east coast felt the big earthquake. I was in my car at the time driving on the Garden State Parkway between Clark and Woodbridge NJ (i think) and did not feel anything.

It was Gary Cohen who made the Barnabas collins reference to Ron Darling on SNY. I was watching but can not Gary's exact quote or what it was in reference to. Gary is the right age that he was probably one of those kids that ran home after school to catch DS on ABC.

Dan Curtis's movie Our Fathers on the Boston Priest Sex Abuse scandal on Universal HD now.

I guess Denise Nickerson had to cancel she would have been part of the DS Kids panel with Sharon and Kathy I guess. I noticed a few days ago her name was gone from the festival web site. I was looking forward to seeing her again for the first times since 04.

Still no John Karlen I hope he's feeling ok.

Carlton Heston had a Cameo in Burton's Planet of the apes (as an Ape). Gene Wilder and Wonka Kids should been give Cameo with Burton putting his personal criticism of the original adaption aside. I remember Gene Wilder took as a personal insult much bad mouthing of Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory coming from the Burton camp.

Quote
SG reports that Jonathan Frid, Lara Parker, David Selby, and Kathryn Leigh Scott flew to England in late June to film brief cameos in the new DS motion picture. They inform SG that it was a wonderful experience and that the movie cast and crew were extremely enthusiastic and gracious. They spent 3 days at Pinewood Studios, where filming began in May and continues into the fall.

I wish Burton would have shown the same class to Denise Nickerson and the cast of Original Willy Wonka when filming Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Instead he badmouthed the original move for the liberties it took with Dahl's book (i.e. Slugworth)me mile taking his own liberties (i.e. Wonka's Dentist Dad).

A reunion of Dark Shadows costar Kate Jackson. I wish I kew to ask John about it. Too bad he is not scheduled to be in Brooklyn next mouth last time I checked.

The most annoying thing was that much of that "Ivory tower" programing already airing on WNET in NYC and WHYY in Philly and there was no need for it to be repeated on NJN. NJN should have stuck with programing like Dark Shadows, Uncle Floyd and Doctor Who Instead we got re-airings of episodes Nova, Sesame Street and Frontline that had aired of WNET and WHYY a few a hours or a few days earlier.

Unlike last year in Burbank where it was less. The AAA rate is quite a bit more then the festival rate in Brooklyn around $200 if i remember correctly.

74
For $80 they should give us the opportunity to order steak instead of chicken. But i am sure it's just the same old chicken for all.

NBC has one soap Days of Or Lives since the they Canceled Passions. In the case of ABC Brian Frons has it in for soaps and thinks ABC daytime lineup should be as boring as ABC's Live Well digital sub channel that they run on ABC O&Os.
