the new board looks great...i thought i was hallucinating when i logged on.i'm still getting the skeletal smilies from halloween, are they permanant guests?

during the 1968 episodes it seems as if the writers sort of lost interest in liz.she's not given a very good story.she falls under cassandra's spell and thinks of nothing but death.then she gets packed off to wyndcliff and disappears from the story for weeks at a time.she could have duked it out with cassandra way more than she did.why the loss of interest?
did the writers decide that the teen demographic they were going after by this point would be unimpressed by an actress of ms.bennett's "status" and thus relegate her to the back burner?alot of the original characters suffer a loss of screen time during this period but liz seems to be the most affected.why?

considering the limitations that they worked within...constant re-writes,little rehearsal time and no re-shoots it's remarkable that they put anything remotely watchable on.but the actors did more than just that with what was handed to them...they created a little bit of "magic" that we're still enjoying today.

i agree with gothick:i found both "the best of dark shadows" and "the best of barnabas" videos at the flea market and they were both pretty weak.when a clip of a scene is watched out of context they don't have much impact.

and i'd kill for a best of liz volume.her episode one performance alone holds several "bests".

as i watch lately i noticed that none of the women on the show regularly carry a handbag.why???except for julia's mammoth pocketbook the girls just jut about sans-bag.they get into cars,race from place-to-place,they can get from the old house to collinwood in four seconds flat.but all without a bag.keys?money?lipstick?these girls just risk it!
i wonder if a "decision" was made?did the producers decide that the bag was a "prop" that could easily be dispenced with.that this item might require a moment of "reality".a woman wouldn't leave without her bag would she???

was collinsport supposed to be in southern maine near massachusetts or way up north by the canadian border?

roger's behavior toward vicki when she first came to collinwood was dreadful.

vicki's behavior is really only "wacky" to those outside the know(like roger)."we" see what vicki sees.every ghost she sees,every time-travel-witch-hunted belief she has is,in fact,true.but one thing that they do to vicki and also to maggie is to "surpress" their memories of traumatic events so that as bits and pieces come back to them they appear ditzy and confused.
