In the 90s he told TV Guide that he got a satellite dish at his isolated Maine home specifically so he could watch DS on Sci Fi Channel.

I believe it. I can definitely picture SK sitting back in his recliner with a container of coffee, a coconut custard donut, and a book/magazine/newspaper to read during those lengthy commercial interruptions.

There's a nice section on Dark Shadows in his non-fiction work Danse Macabre.

Hey, thanks! I checked out the reviews on Amazon. Sounds pretty interesting, so I just ordered it.

I just finished re-reading Dreamcatcher. He’s got a lot of DS names in that one:
Trask, Devlin, Josette, Briscoe…

Has anyone ever seen him at a DS Fest?

This kid and his studying skills have me in stitches. Vicki explains how rivers provide a means of transportation--for people--and for commerce--you can move almost anything by water. Even a dead man? David asks. LOL! What a one track mind this kid has.

First mention of George.
My theory of what happened to Constable Jonas Carter:
Jonas receives a parcel via the mail. He holds it to his ear to see if it’s ticking. It is not. He carefully opens the package. There is a letter. Block letters cut out of an ad. “LEAVE COLLINSPORT OR ELSE”. Inside the box is a jar of mustard.

Did someone mention earlier that Maggie is the sole provider in the Evans household? Man, that’s got to be tough. Even if Sam had the brains to pay off the mortgage when he took that money from Roger, it’s still gotta be tough going.

Aside from Vicki and Carolyn freaking out at every noise, this is a pretty depressing episode.

Fill in the blank:

Liz: What is it, Matthew? What did you see in my palm?
Matthew: T’wasn’t much, Missus. I just thought I saw ________ .

Set up:

Carolyn: Mother! Why are you standing there like a stone image??
Liz: It's all right, darling. I'm just practising...

Fun article, although I was a bit confused until I realized that "quaffed fur" should have been "coiffed fur." I was wondering how the werewolf drank fur. So much for Spell Check.

Ha! Some author!

Man, Roger is certainly on a roll here. Have another drink, why don’t you?
Just for laughs I did a search of how many times the word drink appears in episodes 1 through 126. There were 274 matches.

Favorite line comes from Roger: “Perhaps Burke Devlin drowned himself in a pit of depression.”

Not to be outdone. Here’s a zinger from Liz to Roger: “If you were given free reign, the Collins Fishing Fleet and Cannery would disappear forever!”

"And if you look here, Mrs. Stoddard, you'll see that I've been using the center square in the hope of winning Tic Tac Toe!!"

734
Fill in the blank:

Burke: I think I may have sat in something. What does it look like to you?
Sam: Looks like __________ .

Fill in the blank:

Sam: This is a self portrait I did when I was three.
Maggie: Oh, Pop, you were even drinking ________ then.
