Current Talk '13 II / Re: Wolf Moon Rising novel

I just started Wolf Moon and the first thing that struck me was her over-use of adjectives. I remember this from the last book LP wrote. I would stress that she read Stephen King's "On Writing".

I'll take up permanent residence in the one place you failed to mention, Burke's old suite at the Collinsport Inn, but only because the Blue Whale has no sleeping quarters.

So would I. And I'd order hamburgers and containers of coffee every day for lunch.

I've read a lot of criticism on Ms. Parker's books, but I like her writing. I enjoyed The Salem Branch book and am looking forward to reading Wolf Moon Rising. I'm actually thrilled that she has taken the time out to do this. Well, it's neat that some of the actors are still into the show. I think that's a rare thing.

All the best to you. Take very good care. Eat lots of kale. That beats cancer better'n anything. I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery. Raw veggies and fresh organic fruit. Kiss.

I got the book in the mail today. Gee, it's big!

Anybody read Wolf Moon rising yet? I pre-ordered on Amazon and saved $2.70. I love Amazon! I'm looking forward to reading this one.

Some of the pieces are incredibly difficult to play - more sharps and flats than the AlCan Highway.  A friend of mine has advanced degrees in music and he had to struggle with them a few times before finally being able to pound them out correctly on the ivories and he still occasionally had to "inovate" in order to make them sound right in an easier way.

Indeed. I attempted some of these songs on my guitar. No soap.

In one of the Karlenzine stories, Barnabas spends a lot of time pacing around upstairs. A very interresting concept seen through Willie's eyes that shows how lonely Barnabas really was.
