The Collinwood Players are so good. Goes without saying. I had a spectacular time at this event. The folks that put on the show are dedicated and so full of fun. Kudoes to them! They do an excellent job!
It's a blast and funorama to see such dedication and laughs. You kids really did a nice show. The costumes were imaginative and the acting a blast. Please continue the fun. I am looking forward to more of the same.

Who built the wonderful drawing room set?

1909
You know...how in the Sam Hill can you compare Humphrey Bogart to Jerry Lacy? Obvioously Lacy was blessed with Bogarts looks. I remember the commercials in the sixties and seventies with Lacy doing a Bogart take off. But my god, man, you can't compare the two. Give it a rest. Shove it under the door. This coffee tastes like swill and I can't wait to ask Old Man Karlen his opinion.
Look. Bogart had a natural acting talent. Doesn't come often. You don't like his films; well you don't like his films. Watch Key Largo. And any Warner's picture circa 1938. You may change your mind.

Hope to meet some of you kids at Coney Island. We're coming in from Texas, Colorado, Massachusetts, and South Carolina.
A diverse group at best. But we love Willie. Hope to see you kids at the Fest!

Janet, I hear Willie had a thing about Wicked Wednesdays. Care to comment on that? ;D

Welcome, Stokes.

Whining, sniveling Willie??? I beg your pardon, sir. Had it not been for Willie, I doubt there would have been much soap to opera about. Wilie is an integeral part of the series and a joy to watch. In the past two weeks that co-workers have asked about my trek to the Fest in NY, the one character they recall after Barnabas is Willie. Sadly to say, there aren't many folks where I work that rememeber Quentin or Magda or Professor Stokes. Barnabas and Willie!

Agreed, Rainey.

He's retired and moved on ... He gave us almost five years of Barnabas on the show, for which I'm grateful. He doesn't owe anyone anything. Sure, I'd have loved for him to participate in the audio dramas but I can certainly understand why he declined.

Ain't said Mister Frid hadn't done enough for us. I know he worked his butt off at appearances and what not. Just would like to know what the big deal is about not making an effort to record his voice is all. I used to think that he would prefer to forget his days at DS, typecast a serial vampire. But now that he has a website, some of which is devoted to DS, well...why not join in the fun with his fellow actors? I don't see any harm in that.

1916
They are airing Lugosi exclusively on 8/18. Early for Halloweeny, but...

1917
Jonathan Frid was asked to participate in the new recordings but declined, wishing to remain retired.

So what's this dude's problem? His voice and presence would add so much more to the show. Everybody wants to hear from him. He maintains a website, some of which he devotes to his DS stardom. He encourages DS fans to participate on his website. So why doesn't he devote a smidge of his talent to the DS CD projes=ct? That's what I'd like to know.

You are making me homesick. I went to the Pearl once with a drawing I'd done of the Blue Whale, in hopes they would hang it up somewhere. But they were so anti-DS, that I didn't bring it up. The food was outrageously priced (for this New Englander), the serving people snobbery, and the experience was just lousy.
I visited local establishments for the real feel of New England and had a much better time. You'd be surprised at how little lobster costs at a dive bar, most like the Blue Whale than the Black Pearl.

This is, indeed, a treat.  I'm really pleased with the amount of Grayson content at this year's Fest.

No kidding. I am looking forward to this flick!
