How on earth is talking about the possibility of there being an outhouse in the Old House off topic? It came up in the captions, to start with. Why are outhouses off topic for this board, when the characters you are working with surely used them on a daily basis? Besides, you were the one who, while saying that everyone who *didn't* think that there was a toilet in the OH from day one in 1767 was "guilty" (of being wrong, one presumes), brought up all those dates when toilets were invented and developed. So I was just following your lead in quoting historical facts, but am now wondering why it feels very much like no one is allowed to disagree with you.

As for Google as an excellent resource, sure, it's a great place to start on this kind of research, however, I based my findings on an even more excellent and factual resource, that is, what I read in published non-fiction history books. I've been reading those for years, so I feel pretty confident that my conclusions about the existance or non-existance of a toilet in the OH are accurate.

Yeah, okay, in a perfect, romantic Dark Shadows world, they could have had an indoor toilet. I just prefer to be more realistic about it.

This subject fascinates the sh*t out of me. It doesn't belong in Caption This, so move it to Current Talk.

welcome, darkenedlight.

MR... I really really want that as a giant poster on my living room wall.   I want people to see it without ever knowing DS.   I would not explain it.   There's my sense of humor, in a neat package, right there.

I would love to be able to print out a copy myself. Every time I look at that picture, I laugh hysterically. Please make it available for copy. PLEASE!!!!

May/June edition of Yankee Magazine has an article about Newport and a nifty photo of diners eating on the Black Pearl patio. I don't see Roger or Carolyn though.

The instant that anyone starts to act up, a nearby doorway should open, and a dozen zombies should storm (nyuk nyuk) out, and carry away the troublemaker, back through the door again.

I will be watching over Mr. Frid. So watch out.
"You there! You're out of formation!"
"Yes, yes. You may take one breath of his air."
"Step back! Yes, those hands are as big as they look!"
Whoops! Forgot this isn't Wicked Wednesday. Pardon.

Does this look like Julia?
(IMG)
I hate Julia. Nothing against the actress. But, I hate her face. She wore too much make up and looked like Michael Jackson. Plus her hair was always a mess.

Is this a computer type graphic effect that you've got going on?
I think Grayson Hall had some wonderful features. Speaking as an artist, she had a beautiful facial structure. In my own opinion, that is what a true artist looks for. Depth and soul - and Grayson had them both. Maybe she wasn't a goddess as one would consider Marilyn Monroe or some other glamour girl. but Grayson had a beautifully structured face and a deep soul. She is worthy of anyone's painting technique, as far as I'm concerned.

No one need worry about JF being protected from any unruly individuals; he is quite adept at handling that himself.

I still say you must announce that Mr. Frid will depart immediately should anyone act up. Make it clear. I have seen fans get unruly and behave quite badly towards the actors. But for the most part, hopefully, people will act accordingly.

Seed pods full of faux aliens made entirely of Velveeta. No wonder I love that movie.
Awesome graphic, Mark! You need to do something with Plan 9 From Outer Space.

Does this mean that Velveeta cheese comes from outer space?

Explains why Cap'n Kirk wore a girdle.

Actually Nancy is the one to talk Mr. Frid into coming. Took her two years to get him to do it. Two years!!!

I just want to acknowledge that it was really our beloved Nancy who broke this news in the "Jonathan Frid and Crypts" topic, which I hadn't read until after I posted the Shadowgram in full. Nonethless, it was great thrll when I woke up today and Diane said, "You gotta read this, honey."

Was that your doing, Kersey?
