John Karlen played a bisexual dude in the film Daughters of Darkness (anyone who wants to see
Karlen's tush & wee wee need to check this film out!)
And just imagine: Nancy Barrett's Neely calling
Karlen a "fag"
OMG!

Is that what was going on it that film??? I can't for the life of me see JK as a homosexual/bisexual/or anything but a manly man. I imagine John feels the same way. It was an acting job. That is all.

My fave is when Barnabas is on his way to see Vicky and Willie is opposed to it. Barn tells him that the gap between Willie and Miss Winters is as wide a the sky. Barnabas goes on to gloat about eternal life and how there is nothing wrong with it. Willie delivers the killer line..."Except maybe loneliness."
That is killer DS dialogue in my opinion. My fave episode.
And it's a wonder Willie didn't get kilt for sayin' it.

Does anyone here know what the figure is at the foot of the banister in the Old House?
It looks like a dancing gypsy to some. To me it looks like the Vermont Country maid serving up maple syrup.
Any suggestions?

...not signed him on as the next opera star.

The ABC announcer saying that "this has been a Dan Curtis production". Go to sleep.

It IS a great subject. Perhaps Sarah's dormance had something to do with the I-Ching wands and Barn's time travel. The initial premise is that Barnabas was chained in his coffin for a century or so. Unleashed in 1967 his terror began.
Sarah's soul was perhaps disturbed by this and that is when she first appeared. But who is to say that she didn't appear earlier? Alas, no one will know.

"...if they were going to use the mausoleum as their venue, they'd have to switch to staging Madame Butterfly instead."
And is Sam Evans ever ready for it. My God! Somebody get me a bottle.

"...that during their stint in Gross Anatomy class, she...disected a bat and discovered everything there is to know about the evils of man!!!!" Or Quentin. You could throw that in there too.

Crab cakes to you!

And many more.   May this festive day be full of crab cakes!   (This is a good thing, right?   I enjoyed "Crab cakes to you!", posted above, but have no idea where it comes from.)

Happy birthday!!!

Nancy lives in crab cake country. Crab cakes are one of her fave things to eat and I hope she is indulging on them tonight.

I am waiting on the ever rising cost of gas. If it gets anywhere near $3.50 a gallon, I will not be there.
