Interesting thought, MT. I know that some fans refer to Anthony George as "Burke Lite," and it's easy to see why. Try as I might, I find it much more difficult to picture AG's Burke as someone who did hard time and then roamed the world to make his fortune. AG's Burke might have, say, gotten a traffic ticket and gone to Augusta.

LOL! So true. So true.

Apparently in this ep Dr. Woodard was still in denial over the sex change operation.  [ghost_cheesy]

Was that surgery available in 1967 in the USA? Anyway, the intro to Miss Hoffman is one of my least fave aspects of DS. I love Grayson Hall, don't get me wrong, but the show went too weird from the time she came into the picture.

I found it interesting that what's worrying Willie is apparently not the possibility that his blood sample could in some way lead Dr. Woodard to suspect Barnabas.  Rather, Willie is worried about the shame of people knowing that - well, I'm not sure exactly what he doesn't want people to know.

From my end, I think Willie is afraid that his blood sample will match to Maggie's and may point towards Barnabas.

Willie is wearing that hunka hunka mod belt. Yummy! Hate Willie's hair in this episode. Frizz City.

It's curious how interrested Burke is in this case. I guess he is adamant about persecuting Willie. He's Matt Dillon riding into town to save Vicki Winters.

You know how Barnabas is the consummate gentleman? Why is he shouting through the house for his servant?

And, Doc Woodard, if some of the most beautiful things you've ever seen are microscopic malignancies - you need to get out more.

Loved Vicki dancing with Burke.

I rather enjoyed it when Jason asked if Liz knew what real evil is and she told him to go look in the mirror.

Lotsa dialogue for DP in this episode. He pulled it off with finesse.

he was certain there would be no homework there!

I always enjoy Jason and Barn's conversations together. Jason is pushing him a bit too far and Barn is trying his best to keep under control. But I noticed last night watching this episode (this is how I interpreted it anyway), that Jason seemed to be expecting Barnabas to attack him from behind as he left the Old House. As if Jason's eyes are trying to scan anything coming up behind him. Powerful stuff from Dennis Patrick.
I loved how he asked Liz what she knows about this cousin of hers.

Fill in the blank:

Roger: Vicki, would you have David write the word _____ and its definition fifty times tomorrow?

Pretty funky curtains there for a doctor’s office.

First mention of Dr. Hoffman, one of the best men in the field.

Perhaps Dr. Hoffman will find a clue under the microphone.

Doesn’t Doc Woodard look perfectly perplexed at Burke’s rambling?

A peach tree. What part of the country was Jason supposedly wooing Liz?

[naughty], JtW - I didn't even notice he was sitting like that. I posted it because of the expression on his face. Really. That's the truth.

I must be slipping.  ;)

Okay, okay. I believe you!

Haven't several of us moved up in recent months, to various levels of ascendency, including MB and Lydia?

Funny how yours is divine ascendant.

What I found strangest of all is that throughout the series, for all Barnabas's power over him, Willie never addresses him formally but always calls him Barnabas--and Barn never corrects him. Anyone have any ideas as to why?

Yes. I was thinking about this yesterday. When Willie's around somebody, he usually addresses his master as Mr. Collins. But it does seem strange (as rigid and stolid as Barnabas is), that he allows Willie to call him by his first name.

And you know Barnabas is off his nut anyway. He's got a table set for two, but he sure ain't eating.
