Current Talk '08 I / Re: Joe Haskell calls Carolyn "idiot"
« on: April 10, 2008, 01:09:11 PM »
Joe: I was looking at boats this morning...

Carolyn: (giggling) Of course you were, you work with the shipping fleet.

Joe: Not your mother's boats, idiot. A boat.

Then what happened?

I love the pre-Barn era.
I was watching some fountain pen episodes last night. As far as Liz being Vicky's mom, what ever happened to the painting of Betty Hanscom and the idea that she may have been Vicky's mother?

Viewed 73 times and only 5 birthday greetings? What am I, chopped liver???

You know, when I saw this topic, I had a feeling it may have something to do with me.
Thank you for the warm wishes and beware. This is Wicked Wednesday after all. Heh heh...

Current Talk '08 I / That Room Downstairs
« on: February 29, 2008, 12:44:41 AM »
Tired and weary, coming back from the flu bug, I stuck in a DS tape for relaxation purposes and yes, maybe a laugh.
Jason is in the midst of bilking Liz out of everything she has - I don't know what particular episode # I had on, but he managed to get the key to "that room downstairs" from her to prove to Carolyn that there is nothing there. Well, aside from an eighteen-year-old lightbulb still in working condition (and I make no claim as to how Edison managed it), Jason comes across a suitcase full of clothes, and we're talking laundered, folded neatly clothes! Later, when Carolyn's curiosity about the room is finally satistified, I began to wonder that if I were her or Roger or anybody, wouldn't I question whose suitcase that was. Why was it packed and ready to go? Is this my father's suitcase? Whatever became of him?
Just food for thought, kiddies. Back to the couch, endless liquids, and my fifth box of Kleenex. Achoo!

Wow! Are you old! Hey. Wait a minute. I'm going to be 49 next month. Happy birthday! I hope it's wicked.

I was never an innocent child. Mama let me watch DS.

My favorite show was Mister Ed. Still is.

Wicked!

The fashion statement is ok, but the models are downright frightening! Just in time for Halloween.

Someday, someway, and if I can locate my photos, I will post some sppoky New England cemeteries - including some real Boston haunts... BOO!

Current Talk '07 II / Re: Barnabas in 1897
« on: October 03, 2007, 02:16:35 AM »
I don't particularly care for Barn's character at this point. He plays the martyr, his cause is to save the Collins family name, and will stop at nothing to do it. That's a good thing, but our first impression of Barnabas is his selfishness. His undying love for Josette prevails throughout the series.
In the beginning, he will stop at nothing to regain Josette's love. Suddenly he is among his incesters, and willing to do anything to do what's right for the future of the Collins' family, especially Quentin. It strikes me odd as to why he should care, given that his main force and drive in life is to be with Josette. I do understand the will to preserve a family name, but when Barnabas first came on the scene, his main concern was to find his bride.

Well, I gotta tell ya. I was taken aback at Frid's performance. He is hysterical! I have never seen Mr. Frid in this light before, having only been exposed to his portrayel of Barnabas. He is a delight! He's funny and charming, and full of piss and vinegar. I thoroughly enjoyed his performance and hope there is more to come.
It's also a treat to have the "One and Only" all to myself in the privacy of my home - no crowds. And the seatiing is perfect. Good job, Kerz!
