You've got a point here, Mag.
Lemme see... David Collins had a wicked habit of looking in the window to see Josette, I think Joe Haskell peered in once, Miss Hoffman certainly looked in, Jason
found out about the jewels that way...
One would think a vampire would want to hide his identity, but it almost seems as though Barn was seeking attention. Barn is often seen sitting in his flattened out cushion chair, admiring his family history, not paying attention to anyone peering through his open window...
Well, perhaps they were after his gorgeous night jacket, which I would have been after...

I gotta tell you, I love this episode. Here is yet another resident of Collinsport, in this case Tony Peterson, peering through Barnabas' window. One would think that Barnabas would have learned his lesson and had the foresight to draw the shade once in a while, what with all the nosey relatives he has. I love also that Tony had the moxie to confront Carolyn about her being in her cousin's arms. What a scene!

To amuse herself, Jenny would run circles around the furniture in the room, pretending she was Josette.

That is Josette's room, is it not?

What is so unusual about the Blue Whale serving dinner? It is a typical New England restaurant/bar. I doubt that Bob bitched out anybody. He was just doing his job. I admit he may have gone off his rocker listening to the same songs on the juke, but...

Current Talk '09 I / Re: Horror Hosts and the DS Phenomenon
« on: March 19, 2009, 01:00:22 AM »
Well, the very first horror show host I recall was a little space man with a light bulb for a head. His name was "Feep". After that, there was the Mad Ghoul on Channel 56 and then Simon's Sanctorum. And then things just got worse and the horror show hosts died out. I managed to graduate from high school anyway.
These "hosts" were not responsible for such masterpieces as "Thriller". Damn good writers were - Richard Matheson, for one. Rod Serling and many others fresh out of WW2, brand new to television - new in itself - had a miriad of stories to tell.
Horror hosts came about when studios began releasing their pictures to television.

I thought Burnt Offerings was a made for TV film, with the likes of Crowhaven Farm, featuring Hope Lange. They all came out about the same time.

I know I felt a "bump" when Quentin came on.

Happy Birthday Janet!!!   I was getting you a card my next time out, and I couldn't get out.   You are drinking a microbrew beer.  That's excellent.   Now i want some.

If you need someone to get you out, I'm your girl, except that I can't be trusted. I once saw a movie where Richard Widmark pushed an old dame in a wheelchair down a flight of stairs. I have patterned my life after him. Now that I'm an old crone, I can get away with murder.
And, uh, I hope you know I'm kidding, old chum.
I will taste test any brew you like.

Thank you, thank you.
Being fifty isn't so bad, except that I feel like sixty.
Anyway, this being a happy day for one and all, I only insulted two people today.
I love you all, and if you haven't had the time to shop, you may send money.
Now I must get back to my Whale's Tail Pale Ale. It's brewed in Nantucket. That's an island. Good ol New England   ::burp!::

...alcohol withdrawal. So he pulled up his bootstraps and ventured onward to the House of Frivolities, where Spencer Tracy gave a commanding performance as Mr. Hyde and ordered a black and tan.
