Complete this phrase:

Will: Hmm... Shall I leap over the railing or slide down the banister? I know, I'll...

Fill in the blank:

Sabrina is captured on video in the studio audience of the Ed Sullivan Show, screaming her head off as _______ performs live on stage.

Sabrina’s suit dress – it reminded me of the days before digital television when I’d be watching a black and white film on a color TV – those wavy lines… Just hurt to watch.

Liz to self: Hoffman is right. Barnabas IS a little strange.
YA THINK?!!

As much as her hair looked like shrubbery, I don’t think Sabrina deserved to die.

Barnabas: Not even the jaw of the wolf is more devastating than this cane.
You ought to know, Barnabas. You’ve clubbed Willie enough times with it.

After a long day of summer shopping, there was nothing that Liz looked forward to more than a nice cup of prune juice!!

Fill in the blank:

JY: I’ll get that _______ you stuffed in your cleavage even if I have to turn you upside down and shake it out!

A truly wonderful film. So close in resemblance to "Woman in the Window". I guess Fritz Lang knew when he had something good. I love "Scarlett Street" and am very glad it's a public domain film, which means any station and his brother can show it. Over the years, I have seen some terrible copies of it on local TV stations, but it remains a favorite of mine and Joan Bennett shines, as always.

Thank goodness you don't live in the South, where this will never change. Good luck to you in your efforts. I loved my partner very much, but we couldn't make it legal. asses. I found most of the Southland very charming while I was there, but they are sooooooo hungup on stereotypes, even to this day.

Indeed. I think all of Quentin's best quotes are from 1895. Somewhere around episode 700 or 703 Judith is reading the will and at some point Quentin says, "I think I'm going to cry!"

But my all time fave (again from 1895), is when Quentin comes home and informs Edward that he has been enjoying the "dubious pleasures of the village".

So that's the time period to watch, IMHO, if you want a wicked Quentin quotation.

So what's with the petrified polly? Was this a beloved pet that Stokes couldn't bare to put in a shoebox and bury out in the back yard? Or maybe he's a taxidermist on the side. Anyway you look at it, that's a bizarre position on the bird.

Um, Angelique, maybe you ought to think about taking curtain #2.

I remember KLS saying something about Maggie being kidnapped all the time on DS. It wasn't until I'd been watching PT time that I realized she was right.

I like how fans take it for granted that KLS is mis-remembering something, unless it's proven otherwise!

I wasn't saying that KLS was mis-remembering. I just hadn't thought about how many times Maggie had been kidnapped.

Quentin's tie - it's got confetti all over it.

Quentin's tie is having a party.
Angelique's dress is going to it.

Great performances from LP and JF. They seem to always shine when playing off one another.

Have you ever noticed that when Selby kind of tucks his head into his neck that he looks as though he is suppressing a burp? Well, I do and it's hilarious.

I'd like to see Peter Gunn.

As for the landlord, I'm not in favor of coming down on people for being good-natured and perhaps naive.   Granted, very naive in this case.   Anyway, I've found myself on the receiving end of that myself quite a bit over the decades.   My fallback position is to assume the best of the other party until given clear evidence to the contrary, in the hope that they'll do that with me.

I'm sorry. That wasn't very nice of me, was it? I'm at a stage in my life where I'm more ornery than usual and that's bad!

Peter Gunn is playing on Retro TV. Henry Mancini did the score on that show and it's wonderful.

Betcha wouldn't say that to his face.

Betcha I would. This menopause stuff is going to get me fired from work if I don't keep saying what's on my mind.
