I really, really like this one. Yipe!

Fill in the blank.

Barnabas: My God! Who could have been so foolish to have left this dagger on the chair? Why, I might have sat down and _______ myself!

...a mirror.

Who leaves a knife on a chair? In my world that’s an accident just waiting to happen. Not that I’ve sat on a lot of sharp objects, but still. And Barnabas puts it back on the chair, even though there’s a perfectly good table beside it!

What is this all powerful medication Stokes gives Angelique? Never mind. I don’t care.

Barnabas: “I always liked Will.”  Since when??? You mean you liked him even when he had you trapped in your coffin and was holding you at bay so that he could use you to write his next tome? Give me a break, Barnabas.

I liked Carolyn and Will. Their marriage reminded me of some of the old movies where the husbands and wives fight like cats and dogs, but deep down truly love one another. And it didn’t hurt that the characters were portrayed by two of DS’s better players.

Barnabas can sense Will is in trouble.
B: “I can feel the vibrations of his fear.”
Will is vibrating, all right.

There are times when the writers lost sight of Barn’s vampire abilities, I think. They seemed to focus more on Barnabas’ next love affair and his inexhaustible objective to save the family Collins.

I realize Julia is trying to maintain her cover, but she’s a little too indifferent about Will having just fallen to his death here, dontcha think?

Very nice performance from JK (but, of course). I thought Will was a great character.

This whole thing with Roxanne… I don’t know. I’m not exactly moved to tune in.

I think his hair looks great!

I had planned on commenting on this particular episode when it came along, but I have been watching early DS. Blasphemy, Trask might call it. I'm a heathen. What can I say?

Barnabas: Thank you, no, Quentin. I assure you, I am not in the least bit interested in the fastideous job you've done plucking the hairs out of your nose.

Julia to the rescue. Yay!

One can only hope there is no such thing as tweed in PT time.

I thought somebody had killed Bruno? Ah, well. Hope springs eternal.

Stuffing a gun into one's inside pocket only happened in the old movies. Leave it to John. He loves old movies. Chester Morris (Boston Blackie fame) is his fave.

Julia: "As a doctor, I've been interrested in Barnabas for a long time."
And as a woman, Julia???

Super spur of the moment plan: I will become Hoffman. Nobody will ever suspect.

I think a better plan would be to get yourself a gun and shoot all the bad guys point blank. But that's just me.
