Dear me, what's wrong with putting flowers on somebody’s grave?

Nothing at all wrong with it. Why Vicki needs an entire day off to do so makes no sense, though. Why couldn't she do it on her lunch hour?

Barnabas stops the séance, and Vicki abruptly falls across the table in a faint. When the others ask him why he stopped it, he gets careless with his pronouns and his time frame. Fortunately for him, no one notices.

If anybody in Collinsport ever noticed ANYTHING, Barnabas would have been staked a long time ago.

Whoops. Forgot my favorite line,

Barn: "I have other things for you other than to make preposterous statements."

Oh, yum. Willie is wearing his turtleneck and tight, tight pants. Looks like his wallet is going to explode.

"You're beginning to irritate me." It never ceases to amaze me how much Willie pushes Barnabas when he is so scared of him. Yet, he keeps it up.

Barn asks Vicki to compare Josette's dress to the portrait, saying they're exactly alike. Not.

You can see Barn's reflection in Josette's mirror. Another faux paux. (sp)

I wonder why Barnabas didn't think to have the clothes laundered. Surely they must have collected dust and mildew over the years. And they're all willing to put them on. I would have serious reservations about wearing 200 year old clothing.

Actually, there's a wonderful story in one of the Karlenzines about this very thing. Willie has to bring the clothes to be laundered and mended.

Barnabas laments to Willie about the drawbacks to his solitary existence. He tells Willie, "Miss Evans" didn't have the necessary refinement, and I was too impatient. (Maybe he’s done some research on cult programming in the meantime.)

I will comment on this excellent episode when I watch it at some point, but I wanted to reply to the "necessary refinement" issue here, DL. In regards to Barnabas and his "upper crust" background, you would think that he would have shunned the idea of courting a "skullery maid" in the first place. Yeah, Maggie resembles Josette, blah, blah, blah... I guess he isn't thinking rationally after being chained in a coffin for umpteen years.

I love this episode mainly because of the words that Jason has with Vicki. Clearly, he has had a major bad day and takes it out on poor Vicki, who, in no way on Earth deserves Jason's nasty attitude towards her. Good acting.

More later, folks.

I always wonder if the JP guy has his head screwed on tight.  I have thought for a long time that it's been time for the Curtis family and anyone else associated with DS to find some way to flush him.  The guy doesn't have an ounce of business sense inside his head.

Thank you. I rather enjoyed that. LOL!

First glimpse of the Wyndcliff exterior
Yes, and for the first time I noticed that Windcliff has a sort of a tower.  A tower in a mental institution - gosh how I wish the writers had used it!

Vertigo.

to see Night of the Living Dead in which he played a prominent extra.

Liz: That's very good, David. You'll be ready to take over Collins Enterprises in no time!

I realize Bob the bartender needs a day off now and then, but did you get a load of his replacement? Yikes! He looks like a cast member from Night of the Living Dead.

Plenty of extras shaking their booties and I found myself more interested in them than I did in what Burke and Vicki were talking about. (Although Anthony George looks to be a smooth dancer.)

What happened to my post? I posted it in epsode 266, I think, by accident, asked to have it removed. I thought it would end up in the right spot, here in 267. Bummer.

And now for something completely different... a man with a tape recorder up his nose.

Heh, heh...
