I made my reservations awhile ago but at that time was told they were booked the night of 7/2 so I am leaving that day. I also called the hotel direct and they had all the information right away.
This weekend I am going to buy my new luggage. I figure this year I will  get "real" luggage and stop trying to shove all my belongings into a carryon bag. I pretty much put the kitchen sink in there.

I bought my tickets about 6 weeks ago. The day after I bought them the ticket went up $80. I paid more than I wanted to but I got a direct flight.

Calendar Events / Announcements '02 I / SNL_Kate Jackson

The E channel has been showing classic episodes of SNL the past week or so. Last night they had one where Kate Jackson hosted. I am guessing it was around 1977 or so. The opening skit had Jane Curtin playing Cheryl Ladd's character and Gilda doing Jaclyn Smith. Kate played Sabrina and John Belushi was Bosley.
She discussed being an NBC page in here early days and said she gave tours of the studio SNL is filmed in at one time.

Here's my vote,
1) Quentin and Maggie
2) Vickie and Burke
3) Willie and  Maggie should have been.
4) Maggie and Joe- kind of a cute college romance type
5) Caroline and Jeb

I've noticed on my own post that some colors show up better than others :( .  Most of the time I cannot read them at work but then again I am not supposed to  be reading them at work so bad me.
Now I could read the blue just fine but once I posted in green and had to squint to see it. I love how some posters get so creative with their post. Some day I will learn how you all do it.

It seems some people are having trouble viewing the updated festival site. I just checked and they do have hotel info/cost etc. I actually got my hotel reservation about 1 month ago.
What is nice is this year you can buy 2 for the price of one one weekend admission. That is really nice for families who are going.
Try checking again. It looks like everything is pretty much current.

A friend of mine just returned from Disneyland and flew in and out of LAX. He took the super shuttle and said it took about 1 1/2 including picking up 2 other passangers. He got in around 11:30 and was in his hotel eating lunch by 2pm. Not too bad.
I am flying into LAX. It was the only airport I could get a direct flight from where I live. Flying scares me enough so if I only have to take off and land once ( God willing) I am happy. It cost alittle more but I have peace of mind.
This will be my third trip out west so I am kind of comfortable with the thought of renting a car and driving down myself. Before I went to California, all I heard was how bad the freeways were and I am proud to say I did not freak out once while driving on them :D
Right now I plan on either doing super shuttle or renting a driver.

I saw both DS movies at the drive in on the same night. My parents brought all four kids and we sat in the back of our station wagon hiding under the blankets. :'(
I think my mom was surprised the movies were alittle more graphic than the series.
I really don't remember what I thought about the movie. My sister and I were excited about the playground at the drive in and I remember my dad had to take us to the snack stand during some of those "graphic" moments. I must have been about 10 or 11yrs at the time and it must have been my first PG movie. I was not allowed to see R movies until I was 18yrs. Boy things have changed, you see little ones at R movies now days. >:(

I love that movie. My mom bought it for me for Christmas this year and I think I've watched it about
20 times or so. It was one of my favorites growing up.
I also got House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price. That is a good one also.

Welcome,
I thought you were just a regular old timer here. I still don't recognize all the names on this new board.
Oh and at my high school graduation they played Freebird as we threw our little hats (what are they called?) in the air.
I am a music fan also. Springsteen fanatic mostly but I have a soft spot in my heart for AC/DC. 8)
