Thanks to all for my birthday greetings. I knew it would be a good day when my issue of Backsteets magazine ( Bruce mag) arrived in the mail that day. He must have planned it that way
I had a nice dinner and a chocolate martini to cap it off. Today I am going to the spa for a manicure,pedicure and facial thanks to my Mom. At this rate I may just continue this birthday for the rest of the month.

I only had one photo turn out from the fest. Glad it was this one. Renee and I only waited in line 15 minutes for this. For some reason I was very nervous and don't think I even looked at him for more than a second. He asked if we were having a good time and I just nodded. What a dork am I.

Hello to all,
I have been offline for a bit due to some computer issues but I see I have missed many birthday greetings. I want to reply to all who have had recent birthdays that I wish you all the best and hope your day brought you much happiness and good memories.
I probably will see a few of you at the fest so maybe we can celebrate with a few cocktails during the weekend.
I was all ready for a nice quiet evening to get ready to go and what happens, my sister comes home from the park with a Cat and her four kittens. We have spent a good part of the evening caring for our new friends and making them feel welcome. The kittens are approx. 3 weeks old, still nursing and quite enchanting. Mama cat seems to be very thankful we took her in. She looks like she hasn't had a meal in quite a bit. So I feel abit quilty leaving my sister to care for the new cats and my dog who needs medication twice a day. But what the heck, I am determined to have a good time anyway.
I cannot wait to see everyone and catch up on all the news. I will miss seeing some old friends who cannot make it but I know you will all be there with us in spirit.
I wish everyone a safe trip and see you in about 24 hours!!

 HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
I am also having some major bad weather coming through but at least it is keeping those pesky cicadaas out of my hair. I am doing my best to be patient with them and have even saved a few from horrible deaths! Yesterday I came in from gardening and had 2 on my back, 1 on the front of my t-shirt and 1 in my hair. Thank the Lord they only come every 17 years. If anyone out there has not heard of these bugs. They are bigger than a horse fly and have red eyes. They are also blind and fly smack dab into your face. I read an article in the paper today about them and they said they average is 250 bugs per square foot so you can imagine the carnage.

Has this year flown or what? I can remember when I was little and it took forever for Christmas to get here. Now I worry it gets here to quickly.

Theresa, the drive from Syracuse, NY to Asbury Park, NJ has to be six hours on a GOOD day..........did you say the concert is TONIGHT?!!

Well the concert was tonight. It has been postponed. My sister left the Albany airport around 10 am and I just called her on her cell and it is almost 2:00. They just passed Albany. I gave her the bad news about the show being canceled but they are going to try and make it anyway as he is playing tomorrow also. If the snow continues as it appears to be the show tomorrow may as well be canceled too.
