Hi David,

I have friends on my Facebook, fellow Dark Shadows friends, family, work and childhood friends and it seems many have opposing views from me.  I consider myself very Liberal for the most part and try to keep my Facebook to people I have either something in common with as far as an interest ( Like Dark Shadows, Music, Movies etc) or just keeping up with cousins.  Thankfully, my friends with different views respect mine and I theirs as well.  If anyone is being antagonistic toward you and your beliefs or posting violence or hate then just remove them from your friends list.  If their beliefs just hurt your feelings then it might be a good opportunity to reach out and privately speak to them if they seem worth the friendship.  I have found most Dark Shadows fans to be kindhearted and tolerant.  Remember it's not the quantity of friends you have but the quality. Delete away!

I had a great time and enjoyed seeing friends and the city of New York! I bought Kathryn's new book  and Barbara Woronko's book which I started reading this morning and she was so friendly.  I spent most of my money on food and now must go on a diet so at next years fest I don't look like a blimp!

I really think everyone looked awesome and will pack more sweaters next time! It really was freezing in that hotel.  Next year should be exciting with the movie release and I wouldn't doubt if they have some kind of organized showing of the movie like they did with HODS last year.

My only complaint is I only got a few moments with some friends and time just flies at these events so you just can't get to everybody.

I bought 2 weekend ( Fri-Sun) fest tickets ( no banquet) and my friend cannot go so I want to know if anyone is interested in purchasing the extra ticket from me.  The ticket was $30 and I will sell it for $25. Equinox yeah~~ I love that movie and it really is scary!!

I have not attended a banquet for the last 4 or 5 fest and don't feel I've missed out on anything.  A newbie should do it for the experience and it's a good way to meet other fans but the expense and waiting in a ridiculous line to get a table is too much for me.  I wish they would  mix things up a bit and do either a cocktail party in the evening or just a dance where light food and drink were served.
