Calendar Events / Announcements '04 II / OT<IMdB et al.
« on: August 14, 2004, 12:49:46 AM »
I surfed on over to imdbdot com; is it my imagination, or have they made a few changes?

First, I clicked on the USA flag, yet, when I entered  :-* Joan Bennett :-* , it still showed the movie for UK.

Also, on another note, I entered Lara Parker.

Did anyone watch the daily serial "Capitol" in it's orig. run? Specifically, when Lara Parker was on ('85-'86)?

Thanks,

Patti

I see on today's montage, there's a headstone:
Victoria Winters, hanged as a witch (duh duh DUH DUAAAAHH!)

Um...I don't think they put up markers, especially in a good Christian cemetary, of witches, n'est pas?

« on: July 29, 2004, 08:43:01 PM »
I put Mozilla dotcom, and it told me about Mozilla AND Firefox.

Firefox is to Mozilla (or, Mozilla is to Firefox).....please help.

Should a duffus like me try to get away from Windows?

Is Mozilla the user-friendlies (read duffiest) way to go?

Thanks,

Patti

Been alot on the news about the DNC inĀ  :-* Boston :-* (mostly from NY news I watch, and probably because next month is the Rep. Nat'l Conv.).

Anyway, they inevitable interview the local 'big cheeses' about the security measures.

If I'm not mistaken, both the Mayor of Boston and the Police Commissioner are women :o

I seriously was thinking how Joshua would've reacted to that news :o (Boston being the main city of Joshua & Naomi's day). Of course, women didn't get the right to vote for quite some time...but...

"Outrageous!!!"...."These women should be flogged"!!

Now....let's hear what Reverend Trask might say... ;D

PS...couldn't you picture Naomi secretly being very glad and cheering her sisters on!!!!

Current Talk '04 II / The Frankensteins Meet the Collinses
« on: July 23, 2004, 12:44:20 PM »
On TCM last night was the original "Frankenstein". I know it may not be everyone's 'true to life/book fav', but I love it.

While watching it, made some observations:

After the monster knocks down Dr. F, his fiance Elizabeth ::) comforts him....her mannerism reminded me so much of Carolyln's (specifically, when Carolyn's hair is flattened down). Yes, I realize I probably wanted to see this, but still....

Karloff really plays the monster well...he was gawky like anyone, put together piece meal would be. He reminded me of an adolescent.

During the wedding...it reminded me alot of the Collins' way:

Give the peasants a little party and expect undying gratitude...the Frankensteins, like their American counterparts 'owned the town/burg/villlage.

Just some thoughts....have a good weekend,

Patti

Current Talk '04 II / Clarice Questions
« on: July 20, 2004, 12:41:28 PM »
Good morning.

Was watching OLTL last night, and I wondered if Clarice Blackburn ever wrote anything for Erika Slezak.

Does anyone know?

Also, didn't Nancy Barrett have a short stint on OLTL? If so, did Clarice still write/for Barrett?

Did Sam Hall ever move to OLTL?

Thanks,

Patti
