hmm...on CE/A, Minja has a posting about the passing of Jerry Orbach.

I noticed it 'cause on the front next to the title, there's a double arrow thinging...it would be above in message icon, if I'm not mistaken.

What is this/that?

Patti

hmmm...while waiting for 120 seconds to elapse, I notice at the botton, the logos for phP, mySQL, W3C, etc are grey, unless you put your cursor on them; when you do that, the color appears....veddy interesting

Current Talk '04 II / More 1897
« on: December 29, 2004, 02:08:11 PM »
Well, my husband took all 3 of my kids to FL for a week; I actually took a couple days off from work. So, in between massive cleaning, I've been watching a few 1897 eps:

WHEE!!!

first, I watched right before we 'go back'. I had forgotten David being 'possessed'. Loved, loved loved where Roger doesn't believe, but then he 'sees'!!! Of course, him shouting, "We'll be back, rest assured!" is one of the best DS moments.

I had [spoiler]totally forgotten about Quentin dying, being brought back as a zombie by Angelique[/spoiler] so that was alot of fun!!!

Then, after some slow moving (and most of my tapes are not labeled, duh, so.......there's King Johnny Romano!!!

Then after a while......it's the h a n d. I had forgotten how cheesy looking it is!!!

The next second, it's.....H I M !. So I hit off, figured I'll watch this when I have a little more time.

Back to work now,

Patti

Current Talk '04 II / Lt. Forbes Question

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Okay, if memory serves, when Vicki first goes back to 1795, Lt. Forbes is.....outside the Old House?

Why was Forbes in the lives of the Collins' anyway?

Thanks,

Current Talk '04 II / "Rebecca"
« on: December 18, 2004, 05:04:40 PM »
We've all noticed/mentioned the similarities between 1970PT and "Rebecca".

However, at that time (1970), does anyone know if "Rebecca" had been on TV that much?

I say this, because if not, most of the 'main' players in 1970PT would not have seen "Rebecca" (probably...what, 1940?) That let's off Qman, TLATKLS, Lara Parker (but not JFrid or Grayson).

Pondering minds want to know... [ChristmaS11] (sorry, HAD to....love it!!)

In the middle of one of the worst toothaches EVER. Going to the dentist in a while (caaachiiing $$$).

Started thinking; when Barn was 'cured' in 1967, why didn't he have any physical maladies. I mean, hey, now that I'm 40 (yikes!),  I definitely have aches and pains.

Figure there wasn't too much flouride in Barn's 'neck' (ha) of the woods as a youth; why didn't HE get toothaches.

(Cantcha just hear him wailing/whining: Oh Julia, the pain, the pain {a la Lost in Space}, give me something for the pain.)

Thanks for letting me vent, no, I don't feel better.

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / Cousins Online Today....New Feature!!!
« on: December 08, 2004, 02:06:24 PM »
Another new feature...Cousins online today.

Are the various colors due to status? (eg, dom  [santa_kiss]  [santa_kiss] is a blue & he's a mod). I couldn't off the top of my head figure out the various shades of pink/burgundy.

Thanks!!

While watching "Lingo" on GSN, they have the scores of the people playing online. I happened to see there was a player MidnightWitch. You know I thought of our sweetie Midnite (even though the imposter doesn't spell the name right...maybe it's our Midnite's way of keeping 'incognito'....capice!!)

Current Talk '04 II / 1897!!!! YOU SEND ME!!
« on: November 21, 2004, 01:07:26 AM »
Okay, I have no idea if this is spoilage (and if so, if a mod could code).

I cleaned my bedroom today (strains of "Hallelujah" chorus are playing). I came across (in my pile of DS tapes, just thrown on my BR floor) an 1897. Well, I knew we're watching 1897, so, I actually am WATCHING. I haven't watched in better part of a year.

Whoooooooooo!!!!! Barn v. Laura....can it get any better??

Yup...cause then it's Laura v. ANGELIQUE!!!!!! Meow meow!!!

Man...this is sooooooo good..

Behold...it's MAGDA!!! It's Quentin!!!! It's Nora!!! It's Judith!!!

I had forgotten just how enjoyable this arc is. It's waaay over the top, but hey, so's a rollercoaster. Granted, you can't maintain this height, but it's still marvelous!!!

Going to post on a couple of other topics in regards to what I'm watching.

Go ahead people...put a tape in...then tell us what you're watching...go for it!!!

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / ANOTHER IE Thing??
« on: November 17, 2004, 11:28:59 PM »
....or is it just me?

Sometimes the icons (new/no new) appear, sometimes it's just a red X (that's IE, no)?

Plus, right now, a few of the buttons such as whatever is right of strikethrough, right of move and a few others aren't there; again, just a red X.

Anyone else have this dilema?

Current Talk '04 II / (Dirty Subject)
« on: November 17, 2004, 02:02:09 PM »
Okay, were all grew up watching the traditional vampire movies; Christopher Lee/Peter Cushing, etc.

One of the main things was that a vampire always had to be in his coffin with a small amount of the dirt from his origins.

But, as time progresses, it seems like this has changed a little. For instance, think of "Lost Boys" (great flick IMHO); they hung out in caves (no coffins, no dirt). Now think  :-* :-* :-* Spike :-* :-* on "Buffy"; he can go out in daytime (if he hides from direct sunlight). Plus, he lives not in his orig. coffin/dirt.

There are other flicks where it seems as if vampires are 'evolving'. Also, was there any mention of Barnabas having dirt with him? Did he ever 'stay the night' not in a coffin (as a vampire)?
