Calendar Events / Announcements '15 II / OT - Movies
« on: November 22, 2015, 04:01:13 PM »
I FINALLY! received my Alfred Hitchcock collections.

Some of the films: "Lady Vanishes", "39 Steps" (I've seen LV enough, & I already own "39 Steps").

I see that there's "Man Who Knew Too Much" with Leslie Howard!!

I also see a movie I've only slightly heard of & never seen, "Jamaica Inn" starring her beauty, Maureen O'Hara (I *think* this was her debut).

Some technical 'oddities';
There are 5 black cases to hold movies; the cases have no artwork. Also, if each disc has 3 movies, you don't have the ability to view the 3rd if you want, it will only let you go to first film (and I guess FF to 3rd).

Fritz Lang did a rendition of Man too Much, right?

Does anyone know where I can buy a used (re: cheaper) disc of Doctor Mabuse????

Thanks,

Patti

DUH....here's what I also NEEDED to say. On FB, it asks what movies you've seen. One of mine is "The Old Dark House", starring Melvyn Douglas, Boris Karloff & Chas. Laughton. This morning, on my movies, it's something in Spanish & it's not old looking. From the words, it *may* be a 'dark house' type movie. I'm scared to click it.....any suggestions?

Current Talk '15 II / KILL IT!!
« on: November 18, 2015, 05:04:10 AM »
Trying to enjoy episode 986 of Robservations, but...

The side pictures....it's the '91 revival. It's a woman, and I *think* a very large bee/wasp (color doesn't add up).

It's sooooooooooo annoying!!!!

MB, I don't want to take up more of your time, and, for that matter, the pics on each board may be 'set in stone' as it were, but if you can, please take that one shot off (and please don't make it my avatar)! Yes, I realize I just gave you a good idea.

Current Talk '15 II / 2012 Movie 'Mullings'
« on: November 17, 2015, 05:03:16 AM »
I've wondered about this for quite some time; don't know why I didn't just ask. (The movie just ended, reminding me.)

Are there at LEAST one (but I *think* two) shots of the ocean waves crashing on the rocks that are actually taken from OS? (The ones I refer to do not have any people in them, just straight Atlantic on the rocks [easter_grin] .)

Current Talk '15 II / Would You Marry....
« on: November 16, 2015, 08:04:18 PM »
I'm sure most of you know that Netflix had finally put "Gilmore Girls" on their service (thankfully, I had purchased the whole series in 2011).

Now, of course, they're in the 'rough works' of doing a movie.

So, once or twice a week on FB, there will be various quotes, questions, etc, regarding GG.

Yesterday, there was a picture of Matt Chrunchy, with the text underneath saying:

"Would You Marry Logan Huntzburger"?

My reply was, I'm not sure about Logan, but I would marry Willie Loomis !! (I then commented on how Matt had done a '04 pilot for the WB to re-do Dark Shadows.) I really doubt most people knew that.
Please notice that I knew to say '04, WB, Dark Shadows!!

MB, when I was reading a little on this site, the 'side ads' were about shows you tend to like/mention, so, I figured I'd copy it for you darling.

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / Resizing Board Pics
« on: November 15, 2015, 07:33:22 AM »
Midnite, this is mostly for you, (but ANYONE who knows how to do this, please chime in):

So, there's the 'more', underneath the bunnies (for additional silly characters).

When you (Midnite) post something which makes the character larger, I always hit quote, to see how you do it.

I know you have something like 'img'  something something.

Can you teach me to increase the boards cutsey pics?

Next, so, I've been putting OS cast members pics, but WHY ARE THEY BENEATH THE WHITE BOX I'M TYPING IN RIGHT NOW???

Spazy,

Patti

(Please don't tell me to look for MBs resizing images, he's waaaaay to smart for me), plus, I *believe* he's referring to actual pictures (like all the ones I have with David Selby on our trip to Scotland).  [easter_grin]

PS, okay MB, please change the bunnies to autumnal or current seasonal pics, if you want oh Magnificent One.

Calendar Events / Announcements '15 II / "I Aint Missin' You"
« on: November 15, 2015, 07:18:08 AM »
been wanting to post this for quite some time

Do we all know the song, "I aint missin you, no matter, what my friends say"?

Well I aint missing:

Raineypark

Birdie

Robin V

Emerald Rose

(((((Ringo Collins)))

and...last, but certainly not least:

Auntie Henry (known as a couple of other names also).

And, if any of you believe I'm not missing the above, I've got an attractive bridge in Brooklyn for you to look at, price is negotiable.  [easter_rolleyes]

This is completely off topic, but, does anyone here really like the TV series "Veronica Mars"?

Please send me PMs if you do....I've got a good reason.

Thanks,

Calendar Events / Announcements '15 II / Veterans Day / Thank You So Much
« on: November 11, 2015, 04:58:37 AM »
To all our cousins who have protected our freedoms, and all of our cousins who will be a little sadder tomorrow:

Thank
You

I'm so very grateful, that, with no fear, I'm sitting here, in my home, with (Thank God), no bombs bursting in air, and able to talk with my friends...about ANYTHING.

I'm going to even give a 'shout out' to Joshua, Jeremiah and Barnabas Collins; don't forget, they hid soldiers and armaments during the Revolutionary War.

Calendar Events / Announcements '15 II / OT<I LOVE Buying TV Series
« on: November 06, 2015, 04:11:05 AM »
I just bought the TV series "The 4400".

I've never heard of it; it sounds like X Files meets Heroes (I own that!).

If it's something you think stinks, please don't tell me.

If you think it was an okay/easy watch, just tell me that.

Thanks,

Patti

Ok Mods, see the THREE  attachments, which I attached. They don't display the pictures, plus, I'M ONLY ALLOWED T POST 3 BUT THE TEXT SAYS 4 (IDK if they are larger than 200KB).

Also, when I posted it, I saw the pics at the bottom. How do I get them to:
Pic, actors real name, ................ character(s).

Can you make it so I can post more than 3-4?

Patt

Fix it.

Calendar Events / Announcements '15 II / "The 'Squeaky' Wheel"
« on: November 03, 2015, 05:40:59 AM »
 [easter_evil]

I recently sent a couple of mods a PM.

Toward the end, I said, "Aren't you glad, that in this, our 'safehouse, we DON'T have to hear (whether by TV or radio), commercials, all the HM/ABCFam/Up ad naseum"

Cause we've got
the kicking a**

Mysterous BENEFACTOR

I 'suppose', at some point, a 'few' Turkey/Hanukkah, and eventual Christmas emos can be put on...

Thanks MB, you really did make this fun.
