Okay...I went to the Yabb help board; there's a whole huge thread on not being able to log in; tried everything there.
Called my ISP; they walked me through a litany, no go (and the Verizons' supervisor seem to know PsP or whatever).

Cleared out all cookies (is this the same as clearing my cache?)

I can't get on at home; any suggestions?

MB...when I'm at home (using Verizon DSL), I log in, takes me to montage page...but if I try to go anywhere, it boots me back to loggin page.
This has happened several times (starting yesterday, 4/7/03...but AFTER I had been on).

Now I'm at working, using a cable modem IP & am on, but I don't have e-mail to e-mail you (I see you on right now).

Can you please figure out why?

there's gotta be a way to greatly enlarge the scream, for those of us living in northeast....

We had our first big snow about 2 1/2 weeks BEFORE winter began...and now that winter's OVER, there's currently about 4'' outside, with no end for a least 2 more hours.

Oh Dooommmmm honey ;)
Here's a question...if the original 'creator'? of a topic wanted to change the Title of the Subject...could this be done by the 'creator' (sorry, don't know what other word, perhaps originator?)

If I had started a topic titled Cats, but after alot of other posters posted, I wanted to change it to Dogs, could that be done?

If not by me, could it be done by one of Y O U? (you cool mods)?

Patti

(any mod can answer...just making sure Dom know's we all love him!!)

I was just in my DS mailbox; I decided to live on the edge and click on ballejos mr. bo-jangles or whatever (Spanish?) and I guess that's my sent messages.

It looks different; it made sure I wanted to delete all the messages, which is a good safety mode.

I laugh now; now that y'all taught me what Mozilla is, of course I'm seeing it all around!

and...tres tres...LINUX TOUT LES TEMPS!!

MB...if you run Linux...what do you do for a word processing format or a spreadsheet? (See, they've got me so far in I don't even KNOW other products!!)

Not for nothing...but the AMERICAN Academy awarding the Best Director to a man who is wanted by AMERICAN authorities for child endangerment.

Think how Elizabeth Smart's parents must feel (plus literally thousands of others).

I wish mr. Polanski would come back to receive his award; I'm sure there are QUITE a few 'gentlemen' in say Attica or Rikers who would help him celebrate [couto]

Thanks for letting me vent...this made me sick.

Current Talk '03 I / Them 1903 Gypsies...
« on: March 19, 2003, 12:36:23 AM »
Every so often, when my local daily newspaper needs some 'filler', it prints "Pages from the Past", a look back at more than a century of news.

So I'm reading (small, blury type); there's 'want ads' within running news (which was a practice of the time), but there's so many ads about 'telephone service':
plus, I just read: "Smoke Nickle Leaders, full HAVANA cigars, 5 cents, at Schwartz, 8 Peace street. (lololol).

But you have to hear this one, and I'll write it verbatim:

RAIDED GYPSY CAMP[/b]

Metuchen's One-Man Police Force Puts Fifty to Flight.

Thomas Smith on Wednesday chased a band of Gypsies away from his property on the Metuchen road, near the Hotel Pines. There were about 50 men, women and children in the tribe. The Gypsies had nearly 50 horses with them, besides a lot of ducks, geese and chickens.

LMAO....!!!

'tribe'.....

But, I've saved the best article for last:

FULL FLEDGED WIFE BEATER ARRIVES AT THE JAIL.[/b]

An Interesting Addition to teh County's Exhibition of Freaks. (I swear that's the sub-headline)

The collection of exhibits at the jail has been incomplete of late because of the absence of a full-fledged wife beater. The sight-seers who daily visit the jail to look over the collection have asked Jailer Messler to bring out the man who whips his wife and turns his children out in the storm. The jailer has had to disappoint them.

Now Lawrence Baumlin, of Perth Amboy, is filling the role for an egagement of sity days. Baumlin was fined $10 at Amboy Wednesday for abusing his wife. He paid it. Soon afterward he went home and beat his wife savagely again. Then he was sent to jail.

oyevah...whadda day!!!!

Just watching "TV Land Awards".
Nice to see alot of familiar faces.
Someone had recently (in another thread) said something about Halle Berrie being....full of herself..again on the awards...."Did you see that I WON an Oscar last year?" Oh shut up.

Loved seeing Barbara Eden; Mira Sorvino's announcement of Star Trek seemed quite genuine (is she Paul Sorvino's daughter?), lol at Vicki Lawrence's slant on 'reality TV'.

It's on again tonight (Sun) at 10pm in case you missed it.
