A snippet of Joan Bennett's screen test for
Gone With The Wind was shown last night on
Best in Film - The Greatest Movies of Our Time while they were discussing how practically every major actress at the time had screen tested for Scarlett O'Hara and how they even had people voting for their choices.
(I had no idea that Vivian Leigh received only 1 vote. Obviously they didn't go with the public's choice.
)
Also, apparently horror movies are exempt from the possibility of being great because that category was not featured on the show.
But then, horror often gets little to no respect...
