Only if she stands in line for me.
Rest assured that elaborate plans are being concocted to ensure that you will wind up close enough to her for a photo opportunity. We will then extort a large sum from you in exchange for our promise never to put the photo online.  ;D

I wonder if she'll make it to this one?  I could be wrong, but I think she holds the record for the most cancellations by a DS cast member.   ;D
I sure hope so because I'm figuring a photo of her with Sheenasma will fetch enough to finance the rest of my education.  ;D

Once we switch over to SMF 1.1, I'm going to introduce a purplish/lilac/white theme that I've been working on off and on - and hopefully a greenish theme that I have some ideas for but haven't started working on yet. And the looooong anticipated return of the Members' Archive will have a gold/red theme with sort of museum feel to it.
It's nice to see that you're incorporating the colors of all the Teletubbies.  ;D

Current Talk '06 II / Re: How is the shortened form of Victoria spelled?
« on: August 08, 2006, 09:18:07 PM »
The long version is spelled C-L-U-E-L-E-S-S.

The shortened form is S-L-O-W.

It's an Adam-centric plot.
Ah! The best kind.  :-*

You don't even have to buy a ticket to a show in NYC. When Raquel Welch did Victor/Victoria on Broadway, I took my Myra Breckenridge movie poster to the stage door. She signed it!
That depends a great deal on the actor. Some television/film actors refuse to sign anything other than the playbill or items related to the specific show they are performing in at the time. Loretta Swit, for example, absolutely refused to sign anything related to M*A*S*H when she was appearing in the Vagina Monologues off-Broadway several years ago.

Saving Milly, directed by Dan Curtis, will be rebroadcast on Sunday, July 9, at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS. More information about the film can be found on the CBS web site.

That's really cool, I've now been in both Famous Monsters and Scary Monsters. [/color]
CyrusL -- Is he more scary or more famous? You decide. ;D

For the record, The Roundabout Theatre is located at 254 W. 54th St.,
Actually, I believe the Roundabout Theatre refers to the company that puts on productions in the Studio 54 venue. They have several venues in NYC, including the American Airlines Theatre. They haven't renamed Studio 54. It still goes by that name in the company's publicity materials, including the poster for the recent production of Threepenny Opera.

How new and exciting the programming is to you depends largely on how much you've already seen over the weekend. Sometimes the material presented at the banquet was screened at various points during the weekend as filler between programming segments.

Prepare yourselves for a shock.  I am about to say something favorable about GS.  :o

I recently saw some of his interview footage from the DS DVDs, and I have to say that my hat is off to the man for his honest appraisal of his work on the show. He acknowledges that he was far more obsessed with learning the lines correctly than with how he delivered them, which explains the horror that is Sky.

I found his candor somewhat refreshing.  Note, however, that I'm not saying I have a newfound appreciation for his acting. ;D

There's another news item today on TVShowsonDVD.com regarding what was said in the Warner Bros. chat and what was posted (and apparently promptly removed) from the site of the group claiming to own the rights to the series, Ember Entertainment Group:

Not that it means much in the real scheme of things, but Robert Vaughn's official web site acknowledges Ember Entertainment Group as a news source for information on the series.

Warner did mention last night that they "hope" to release The Man From U.N.C.L.E. in the future.

Interestingly, apparently some Web sites have been accepting pre-orders for a July 25th release of the first season - but Warner said those sites are "misinformed" and there is no release scheduled for 2006.
There's a dispute between Anchor Bay and Warner Bros. as to who owns the DVD rights to the series. Anchor Bay put out a press release for a first season DVD release during the first week of April, citing the July release date that you mention. Retailers, including Amazon, began listing the DVD release shortly thereafter. By mid-April, Warner Bros. attorneys had contacted Anchor Bay over the rights issue, and most retailers promptly yanked their listings for the Anchor Bay DVD release due in July. As far as I know, since the dispute over rights came to light, nothing more has really been said as to what headway, if any, is being made toward resolving the dispute and issuing a DVD release.

TVShowsonDVD.com covered both the Anchor Bay release announcement and the subsequent yanking of the title.

Because it's still 4 discs worth of material. They're loading it down with featurettes about the series, Lara's new novel, etc.
