When you go to click on a floatie, sometimes that message "image is copyrighted" comes up.  Why?
If you are holding down the left mouse button and dragging the mouse over a forum image, which could very easily happen inadvertently when trying to click a floatie, it will set off the warning.

I watch them in order. I can't imagine just thinking "Let's check out some Petofi!" >:D All the really good stuff is simply spread out too far and wide.
I tend to watch the episodes two different ways. If I'm going to sit down or use my stepper and watch without any distractions, then I go through the episodes in order. (However, now that I am in the midst of the Adam storyline, I am starting to rethink that strategy.)

If I want something on television while I'm in the middle of a project like straightening up the room or sorting through papers or something that means the screen won't be getting my undivided attention, then I'll pop in a random 1897 disc. Sometimes I put one in at night and fall asleep watching it, especially when I've got something else I'm trying to drive out of my brain so that I can sleep.

her character is "a catatonic shut-in who spends her days gaping at horror movies on TV and eating dog kibble out of the bag."  Oh great.
How many times must these people be told?! It's cat food, not dog kibble.  [hall_wink]

This is moving off topic a little bit, but I'm interested in how Lara Parker's novels compare to some of the other instances of actors writing fiction based on their characters. I'm not a big Star Trek fan, but I know that Shatner has had a hand in co-writing some novels based on the series. Are there other instances of this happening? Has there been a case of another actor writing solo about his/her character? How were these efforts received in their respective fandoms? Have Mary Sue comparisons been drawn in those instances?

Did Professor Stokes ever find out about Barnabas's vampirism?

Nope, he never did.
That's a tough one to call. One of the things that makes Stokes an interesting character is that you can't always take him at face value. The early scene in the Adam storyline when he arrives at the Old House to barter over the talisman with Barnabas is a good example. I don't think he was honestly interested in any of the furniture he was commenting on. That was just a put on to gauge Barnabas' interest in the item -- whether he was interested as a collector or as someone who honestly felt protection from a witch was needed.

Just because he doesn't openly admit to knowing something, that doesn't mean he's ignorant of it.

DS is about things going horribly, tragically wrong.
Yet I found Amanda Harris' demise to be wonderfully right. [hall2_grin] I know a few people who were clapping at the scene during the recent Festival for reasons other than their admiration of Donna McKechnie.  [hall2_wink]

Gay South Florida, a Miami Herald blog by Steve Rothaus, did a piece on Craig Hamrick on October 4. It includes a few comments from Lara Parker.

Anyone remember Tom Harper?  He played Jeremy Grimes in 1840 and appeared in 4 episodes:  1163 1167 1184 1185
Umm . . . I believe the gentleman's name is Tom Happer, not Tom Harper.  [hall_undecided]

The new Halloween album from Mannheim Steamroller, Halloween 2: Creatures Collection, features a version of the Dark Shadows theme. A clip from that track (along with numerous others) is available on the Amazon web site. The 3-disc set includes a music CD, sound effects CD, and a DVD.

Friends.  I have uploaded a copy of one of our tributes to Craig from our show the other night on You Tube.  This is at the request of a couple of friends who were in the audience that night.
I hope John doesn't mind my stepping in and mentioning this since several folks were eager to see the video but the original link didn't work. You can find it here:

I stumbled across it while I was looking at DS vids on You Tube.

Ever notice how ghost hunters are like termite inspectors? They always manage to find exactly what they're looking for.  [hall2_wink]

Unlike "Return to Collinwood", this one was not released as a CD.  Its my understanding that it was recorded though.  Does anyone know why it was not released?
There was no studio recording session. No recording exists that would be suitable for a CD release. My understanding is that those involved in the editing process for the CD release of Return to Collinwood were not in a position to commit the same amount of time to preparing a second CD release; therefore, no release of Jamison Selby's second radio drama to CD was ever planned.

Midnite checked the iTunes Gay USA page.
This show is not there yet, but it should be up soon.
The audio is already online here. It's about halfway through the podcast.  :)

LATW has announced John Vickery as Selby's replacement -- apparently for all of the dates on the tour. The various venue web sites are slowly being updated to reflect this change.
